  • My west coast transplanted family, now living in Virginia, can't find descent Mexican food commercially, so we have to make it ourselves when there are large groups in one house. I'm defrosting the meat as I type this. My New Jersey wife has never has a proper burrito before, but she will tonight.

  • @BLACKFANPhotography

Super! Follow the recipe or make it how you like.

  • I grew up in Cali eating these; at least 1 or 2 a week. After (or before) Friday night football games (drunk or sober...didn't matter). Mom might grab 3 before coming home from work when she didn't feel like cooking. I remember the bag would be heavy like there were bricks inside; threatening to tear the bottom out. Oh man! I'm gonna copy down the receipe and give it a try.

  • @BLACKFANPhotography sorry...recipe.

  • as they say....thats whats called 'fall'in off the bone" great video great job chef

  • @divinechef dude the burrito was invented in TJ along with the Ceasar Salad!!! well i went to the store and bought everything EXCEPT Taco Seasoning!! I don't know how or why, but it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to find "taco Seasoning" in Mexico!!! how is this possible?

  • @pjrojas76

TJ is known for street tacos not the creation of the burrito.

  • I live in Mexico and I didn't think it would be that easy! i'm going to go to the store when I get off work and make this tonight!!!

  • just so you all know this machaca is completely different from the authentic mexican machaca, the real machaca is more like a beef jerky, the meat is set to dry then grilled and then shredded and sautéed with onion, tomato, and chiles!!!

  • @arelyamor

Authentic? Just so you know the burrito was invented in USA LOL :)

  • i couldn't do this!!! BUT IT LOOKS AMAZING
