What a shit first shot! can you imagine how much pain a shot through the abdomen would have. Learn to shoot first dickhead. Think you should remove this video.
Haha. I just got back from Alaska today and on my "Wilderness Train Ride" lol to the airport we saw Dall Sheep on a cliff and the tour guide said that in Alaska if you kill a Dall Sheep you get more time in prison than if you had killed a human.
Dont let them get to you, THEY are just jealous..... I shot a 10" billy, at 30 yards with my 300W.... broke his back, twice, and still had to shoot him a 3rd time to keep him from flipping off a cliff, some critters just dont give up so easy.... NICE RAM BTW!
So out of all the dall sheep you have shot every single one has been a perfect one shot one kill? If thats the case I applaud you on being perfect. I am not. What exactly do you mean by operate??
Beautiful ram and you did eventually put him down. Kind of funny though, because the "break-down method" was used. Believe me, I have shot so many animals that I have done exactly that same thing. So I really can't point too many finders. One thing you could do: First shot - ALWAYS make it count.
I just have seen a lot of killing in hunting and am getting old enough (50 yrs) to begine to actually feel sorry for these animals....weird huh! I will never stop hunting though. I went to muzzle loader, cause it forces me to get really close.
I completely understand what you are saying. I explained to my wife, who doesnt hunt, that there is a feeling of being sorry after taking an animal. Her simple response was "well quit hunting". Its especially hard to explain that feeling of remorse to a non hunter. She thinks its kind of strange but i think it just means there is a level of respect/compassion for the animals we hunt and i think thats a good thing. Take care and good luck.
ya im going on a moose hunt up in the yukon this year since i didnt get drawn for a sheep this year but that is a great ram that you shot and u really crushed him on that second shot how big was he?
First shot was a gut shot...haha...what a shame in that close distance. We hunt sheeps in Iran from 250 to 300 meters away and if we do a gut shot, others laugh at us...
I practice plenty but practie doesnt always guarantee a perfect shot. I think you will find that most honest hunters will tell you they have missed before or made a less than perfect shot. I dont see much shame in it.
true that...if this clip was from first you started, it's natural that hunters miss and such...it is really important to get to know your rifle because each rifle has a certain drop and such and even if the best hunter uses his friends rifle for the first time, he'll miss or make a bad shot...

Take care man, sorry to have offended you.

Dan I didn't like making a poor first shot but sometimes in hunting that does happen.

I know, and sorry for offending.
