@iohannesfactotum let's see...you're now 25, which means in 1999, when this was first aired, you were 12-13...so who's stealing your idea? And even then, it's not as if it is one helluva original idea, certainly not since the time Frank Herbert had written Dune.

This slingshot effect was science fiction (astro-mechanics) in "2010", the sequel to "2001, a Space Odessy."

Since then it has been given magical side effects including super luminal velocities and time travel. Despite the "SciFi" moniker this is a Space Fantasy and should not be confused with Science Fiction.

However I expect it will be fun to watch.

First, to the poster. THANK YOU THANK YOU> I have loved this series big time. And yes to me, the cheeky irreverance. And sophistication and downright nastiness of the characters really drew me in from the get go. I have long been disappointed that the frelling drones havent flocked to moya yet, so no feature films. And now the big hit, Creation Entertainment is doint their LAST FarScape convention this year in LA. :( We need more Farscape!!!!! :D
