Remember, the fathers knew Him as El Shaddai. El Shaddai is the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Those fathers did not know Him as YHWH, but rather as El Shaddai.

My question to you is, do you believe that this name (YHWH) was inserted into Exodus 3:15 at a later time to ensure contextual continuity of the narrative?
