It also sat outside in a snow bank for the 2009 winter ....found it in the spring on the side of the road pluged it in and charged it and it still works fine... didnt even lose my pictures,contacts, old tetst etc. Excelent pone in my opinion (other then the technology on it is getting a bit old lol)

like other samsungs the m510 is pretty durable. I use and abuse my phones pretty hard and after two years this one's only starting to get glitches and lose its battery life
i had the m510 in pink its durable but after a year or so the keypad broke off becuase its just one flat piece of rubber, it began ripping. It had a good camera and also ao camcorder.
I have the M510 my self from VirginMobile here in Canada. I found it VERY odd that he makes no mention of the mp3 player on this phone. This can easily play your mp3 file songs which is what decided it for me over the other models available.

if you are with virgin mobile, you can go to menu,my stuff, ringtones, get new and itll take you to a web browser, but mine is not working at the moment so and there there will be hundreds to choose from at around $3.95 hope that helps :)
I have had the 510 for about 8 months now. The outside screen died after the first week, and is very easily scratched. The sound quality is good though, and I find it pretty easy to text with. the camera isnt the best but still does well. I would prefer a sanyo camera. the design is very sexy, however being a flip phone it can get annoying.
I would recommend this phone, if your the kind of person that wont leave it your pocket with your keys etc... and if its as high as your budget goes.

I got the M300 a week ago and there is this annoying buzz half the time. Today it dropped a call. My daughter got the same phone two days and the charge only lasted 24 hours before it died. Her old 2-yr. old phone would last at least 48 hours so I don't have a very good impression of the M300.

The most important thing for me with phones is how many buttons you need to press to get into a text message. I means lets face it, most people use texts for 90% of their communication. I recently switched carriers and got the M510. I used it for the first time yesterday twice in public areas (dundas square,Toronto) and inside Jack Astors. I couldn't hear my friends at all! I had 2 use the speaker phone function and hold it the phone 2 my ear, keep in mind this is a brand new phone. The volume level is low in normal situations and I have to press the phone right up against my ear. I don't know if its just my phone or a model problem? so far my only "major" problem w/this phone.
i have M510 too u just have to play with the settings and it should be somewhere in the volume or something you need to put it up since its prolly really quiet i had to do the same :P but once u do its perfect ;P
I recently purchased the M510. Its ok but i wish id stuck with a Nokia or Sony Ericsson. Theres just a lot of little things like the smooth key pad and useless predictive text messaging that let it down.
I have the Samsung m300. It freezes up all of the time and the only thing of good quality is the sound when you're making phone calls. Speaker phone sounds isn't very good though. Also, the mirrored front looks really cool, but it always has finger prints on it. I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone.

I have owned 10 cell phones the only phone that ever made me mad enouh to want to smash it was the m300. This phone is garbage and samsung should be sued for selling this pos. It constantly freezes. Its poorly designed programming makes for a phone that freezes each and every time you try to text. It has so many flaws its not even funny. It looks good and thats it. I got the m300 the time as my mom did and both of us had to get new phones.I made sprint give me a sanyo. Avoid this phone.

To put mp3`s and pictures on your m510 pop out the microSD card and fit it into the adapter. Put the larger card into your laptop in a quater sized slot. I like to copy mp3s to the card and pictures because the quality is better than the camera, to set them as my wallpaper
on the bottom right of the card is a little slot labeled "microsd" i think, and you push on it to get the card out. my phone came with a larger card (sd stands for secure digital) that you put the microsd card into, then you put the larger sd card into an sd card reader (you might have to buy it separately, look for a small slot, quarter sized, that you could fit the card into) then you just transfer files over :)
just noticed that you mentioned in another comment you've got the 300, i've only got the 510, so i don't know if what i said applies to the 300, peace

I recently switched carriers and got the M510. I used it for the first time yesterday twice in public areas (dundas square,Toronto) and inside Jack Astors. I couldn't hear my friends at all! I had 2 use the speaker phone function and hold it the phone 2 my ear, keep in mind this is a brand new phone. The volume level is low in normal situations and I have to press the phone right up against my ear. I don't know if its just my phone or a model problem? so far my only "major" problem w/this phone.

i have M510 too u just have to play with the settings and it should be somewhere in the volume or something you need to put it up since its prolly really quiet i had to do the same :P but once u do its perfect ;P

I recently purchased the M510. Its ok but i wish id stuck with a Nokia or Sony Ericsson. Theres just a lot of little things like the smooth key pad and useless predictive text messaging that let it down.

I have the Samsung m300. It freezes up all of the time and the only thing of good quality is the sound when you're making phone calls. Speaker phone sounds isn't very good though. Also, the mirrored front looks really cool, but it always has finger prints on it. I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone.

I have owned 10 cell phones the only phone that ever made me mad enouh to want to smash it was the m300. This phone is garbage and samsung should be sued for selling this pos. It constantly freezes. Its poorly designed programming makes for a phone that freezes each and every time you try to text. It has so many flaws its not even funny. It looks good and thats it. I got the m300 the time as my mom did and both of us had to get new phones.I made sprint give me a sanyo. Avoid this phone.

i have an m300 and it works perfectly it's only supposed to be a cheap phone i got mine pay as you go for only 80 bucks it's not amazing but dude calm down it's not bad and btw mine never freezes

To put mp3`s and pictures on your m510 pop out the microSD card and fit it into the adapter. Put the larger card into your laptop in a quater sized slot. I like to copy mp3s to the card and pictures because the quality is better than the camera, to set them as my wallpaper

on the bottom right of the card is a little slot labeled "microsd" i think, and you push on it to get the card out. my phone came with a larger card (sd stands for secure digital) that you put the microsd card into, then you put the larger sd card into an sd card reader (you might have to buy it separately, look for a small slot, quarter sized, that you could fit the card into) then you just transfer files over :)
