I just realized something, you say this is crystal. but crystal had something implimented in it that wasnt shown in the video. Im talking about the animation for when pokemon are sent out. you know how they roar or something when theyre sent out right? well in crystal there would be an animation along with that roar. after crystal, those animations were never used again until pokemon emerald.
