CL888 is a modified Chinese Sea-Gull ST16--no more no less. ST16 is a reliable automatic movement that has been used in many watches, but at 21,600 beat rate it is not a high end movement and certainly does not cost as much as swiss made movements.
SW200 on the other hand, is comparable to ETA2824 in the quality of its movement and the cost.
Zodiac tried to save few dollars with the "CL888", and it has hurt their reputation.
@lordawesome46 Is the cl888 that bad and your opion on the valjoux 7750 I am looking to add that movement to my collection , but price is crazy , Whats your opinionm and what watch company should i go to m I was thinking U BOAT
The lines of the White Oceanaire are very beautiful, it is one of my favourites for the summer, and its nuclear white will contrasts with your bronzing, sorry by its lumen is is pathetic, very poor for a Diver watch,, see you
I love that white and the black out lines dial on the Zodiac, what's the lumen like? And the Miyota stutter can be adjusted by getting the resistance of its dampening spring adjusted, and that means you would have to get past the main top plate after the winding bridge to do it... I've heard tell that is.
On the SEA-GULL ST16's it's a little simpler spring and not as hard to get at because it's just under the winding bridge I've also heard said.
Ironically, that's what's known as the "miyota stutter". It's the result of having an indirectly driven second hand, and doesn't affect the accuracy of the watch. Looks unpleasant, though. They should have gone with the 2824-2.
Sorry, but the accurate do not is the best thing of this Oceanaire, I´m lovely this watch , but i will have prefer thousand times a japanese movement inside miyota, orient or seiko , that coarse CL888
@gomiki what is the true NPH on the cl888 and why your bot ib favor of it, And miyota movements are awesome , my sw200 runs a bit fast,,,,about a minute a week what is your opinion? on the cl888

from what i've heard the CL888 for the money is a very good movement, bulletproof and pretty accurate.
