  • I can only dream for now...xDDD

  • Looks like so much fun.

  • awesome awesome and more awesome, the only way to get a bigger rush would be to have control of the plane!!!!

  • good on you mate, you can really see the appreciation light up in your eyes =)

  • I know you can pay to get a flight like that...but it's very expensive. Russian ask 3.000/4.000 euros ( 7.000 usd)

  • F18 low speed nose pointing, without canards or thrust vectoring.

  • Is he wearing a turtle beach mic?

  • @darthluke655 You think the military and etc. will use Turtle beaches?? get off the xbox!

  • @Letseatbambi Son, It's a joke.

  • were can i do this??

  • How much it cost?? nswer this and ill rate it, and send to many people

  • how did you get to do this

  • i don't know why they do those take offs (elevator ride) can someone tell me why??

  • @flightplayer To show the ability of the F18.

  • Everyone argues on these vids! Cracks me up hey! Who gives a flying fuck anyways? Just enjoy the vid for what it is :)

  • dat aint you i know him he is ......... dead

  • wait , what does he mean "extremeties" ?? any1 pleasseee i NEED to know

  • pffft, it means your arms and legs, retard

  • dood. just shut up i was just wondering what it meant you dont frkn have to call me a retard

  • lol fail troll is troll failing.

  • ummm what?

  • Actually the real right stuff kind of guys are short and stocky, not tall and lean. Tall and lean guys have longer extremities and pass out faster under higher g's.

  • Lucky

  • ffaaaaar lol

how do you avoid getting knocked out? just keep a stiff kneck like how he said?

or does it all matter on your height weight and everything?

  • Did anyone see the way his chin kept goin forward? it made me LOL...

  • Oh you lucky SOB, it must have been awesome. Nice video.

  • That's because he was scared.

  • I'm 6feet8,I would never fit,but I would still have loved to feel that once.Imagine the most miserable person going through something like this.I imagine something like this would change a person for the better in just a few seconds.

  • This makes me want to be a pilot. Ready for some Vitamin G?

  • man I'm so jealous !!

  • ohh fuck that take off ! .. i cant even handle the feeling of a Quantas take off .

  • LMAOOOOOOOOOOO

  • how much does it cost to do this???

  • Uh.... nothing.

  • seriously...how did u do it...did u just asked the blue angels if can ride the back seat...

  • i think so i think u need the be a vip though

  • member of the press selected by the blue angels or a special vip.

  • usually u sign up for it and it take MONTHS EVEN A YEAR OR TWO for your turn to fly. it depends on if they are busy with other rides and they do fly missions because they are from the navy

  • coolllll really i wanna try...boy do i wish i was in that plane right now...i can sure use some high gs right now lol

  • They don't fly "missions" while they are assigned to the USNFDS (Blue Angels). :) But yes, they are all combat pilots before they become Blue Angels, and they will return to being combat pilots when their time on the team is done. Blue Angels pilots serve 2 to 3 years on the team depending on their position. For example, the show narrator will serve 3 years. His first as show narrator, second year as opposing solo, third year as lead solo.

  • @geofffox WHAT?

  • @alkayda101 It costs $400 000 to do this for 12 seconds.

  • @alkayda101 need to be a celebrity

  • very lucky man right here

  • Horrible...dripping...drooling...jealousy!!! You are one lucky guy fox...that is the ride of a couple lifetimes! ......continued jealousy.

  • Whats your malfunction half-breed, BTW great username ya dork.

  • My flight took off from El Centro NAS in Southern California. Though the F/A-18 is a supersonic plane, we weren't cleared to break the sound barrier.

As we took off, all the blood rushed to my extremities. That was unexpected. It was among the most pleasing and unusual physical sensations I've ever had.

During our time aloft, we flew upside down and did very tight turns (with an increasing increase in G force). I even had a few minutes of 'stick time'.

  • Hi - I am the passenger in this video. Every once in a while I let everyone watching the video know how this came about.

I am a meteorologist at a TV station. When I took this ride, I was also hosting Inside Space on SciFi Channel. This video appeared on both channels.

The Blue Angels often invite members of the media and celebrities aboard because it helps bring them good publicity. The Blue Angels is after all a positive recruiting tool for the Navy.

  • yayyy news channel 8 !

  • same, i would take a loan out on my house if i could.

  • I SO want to ride! I was actually gonna join the air force and fly fighters untill I found out I was bipolar and too short. Im not kidding, Im on a shit load of meds now and can kiss my dreams goodbye, but I would pay so much money to ride!!

  • I'm jealous

  • wow this looks like a ride of a lifetime. you look like a good person to get the chance to do this.

  • hahaha this guy is scared

you can see it as the plane goes up xD

haha dont worry every one would be scared xD lol

  • are you driving the plane..or is a computer

  • dee dee dee

  • How do you get the opportunity to fly in the backseat like that? Because I'm probably not the only one who wants to do that!

  • lucky bugger tally ho look on your face is priceless great vid

  • very cool!

  • this guy needs to shut up

  • good video but that guy is annoying as hell...

  • ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING!

  • cool vid. i saw these guys in pensacola, Fl where they are during the show season. iv'e wanted to do that ever since i saw them

  • AWSOME VID! YOU BASTARD....

  • That is anything BUT stupid ... THATS THE REAL DEAL!! ... although too some it may not translate well on video but trust me this is anything like most can experience in thier lives ... Having a rocket strapped to your back and GOING FOR A RIDE!! .. and I mean A RIDE!! I have had the fortunate experience to do this myself such as "geofffox" and after its done I would have gladly paid money to do it again now knowing what the experience was like and did it for free.

    GREAT GOIN GUY!!

  • Actually, you have a rocket strapped to your back and an explosive charge under your butt! Though you're a passenger, you are briefed on how to use your ejection seat, and it is quite live. That might have been the scariest part of the trip - knowing that was there.

  • @geofffox

so.......it does feel like masturbing? when the G-force go upside down from -1 to 5 and etc.?

  • ooOOOOOoooooooomygosh!!!! man o man o man!

that freakin owns, youre so lucky!!

  • Oh My Gosh! I thought that was Jeff from Channel 8 News New Haven , CT.

    Way To Go !

  • Great video, the last time I saw someone in the back of an F-18 he was passing out. You're a lucky guy indeed, wish it was me!

  • You are so lucky! In movie you just see people piloting like they are in front of a computer XD But it looks more like huge roller coaster (ten times faster^^)

    Great video

  • wow man great video, thanks heaps for posting

  • yeah well done mate you can be a fighter pilot one day

  • great great!! you r the man !!geo!!

  • holy shit...that f/a-18 climbs like a rocket

  • I am the guy in the video:

I'm sure others chose to take a more difficult ride. I never passed out, nor threw up (thanks meclezine).

It was the most physically tiring thing I've done in a chair!

The F/A-18 pilots I met were "Right Stuff" guys. They were all slim and toned. They physically train for a job where you sit in a seat.

You can find out more about me at my website: http://www.geofffox.com. In real life I'm nowhere near exciting as this video.

  • that's stupid

  • Don't be ignorant. There's not much that comes close to flying a fighter in this world as far as performance and rush factor goes. I fly for the Air Force and wouldn't trade it for any amount of money. Great video man, nice AGSM and for not passing out!

  • Hey host, no disrespect, but where is the passing out bit that you cut?

  • yeeeehaaaaa lol

  • yeah they do it for the press

  • that was so funny

  • that was fast!

  • yeah ...so.....

  • sounds fun!

  • I bet you would have screamed like a sissy. Shut up and give him credit.

  • man that goes up faaastt- I wanna go!

  • that would be so sick, the moment it just goes up so fast

  • wow! what an experience!!

  • holy shit there are so many double entendras(i dunno if i spelled that right)

"You are the man!" "Oh i didn't do that the plane did it by itself"

  • How much does it cost to fly with the Blue Angels

  • I think they only do it for the press.

  • Wow i would crapped my pants!

  • Yea, he did sound kinda gay didn't he? lol

  • MAN, O MAN! You sound so gay..

  • the guy orgasms at 0:48

  • yeah!!!

  • That's nuts.

  • You're the man! Congrats.

  • Hey you look an awful lot like Dale Earnhart Jr. Are you pretending he is you?

  • Haha this is so funny, the way the pilot laughs!:

    -"You are the man ('Dark'?)!

    - "Ha! Ha! Ha!"

  • preety cool the way you handled those high g's on the climb. =)

  • Wow what good plane, a fighter bomber. wish that our country can afford at least 2 squadrons of f-18s ^_^

  • shit i do that shit all the time!

    bahaha!

    jk i wish!

    thats mad awesome!

  • i would love to ride in an f-15 c someday

  • I hate that guy

  • Something that is made for chosen men (pilots)

  • I love jets.the f-15 and the f-14 are my favorites,MAN THAT MUST BE COOL!

  • You lucky dog

  • Awesome. Lookeed like he was enjoying that takeoff a lot. LOL

  • Man o Man i love it xD

  • I was medicated and didn't barf - including inverted and tight turns. The "G" rush on this takeoff was exhilarating!

The 3.5-4 Gs on some tight turns were not and the pilot (Lt. Doug Verissimo) backed off.

Afterward, I sat in a chair and fell asleep. This was among the most physically exhausting things I've ever done.

Before the flight there is a long briefing on using the ejection seat. I was told, "Don't look down."

  • Wooow. Where can i book this trip?????

i will pay everything for this ride.

  • now thats gooooooooddddd

  • Gotta love a good Max Climb.

  • wait..where's the part that you puke?

    http://alt.coxnewsweb.com/ajc/swf/blueangels/blueangels_lite.swf

  • ive done it at basic flight school in Aus in a PC-9

  • That manuver looks so much more fun in an F/A-18 than it does when I do it in a single engine prop lol.

  • it looks like so much fun, but I've heard more times then not, that it was the most mizerable ride of their lives. These pilots are really conditioned to take the beating their bodies endure. picture this, he said in another vid that they were pulling 7.5 G's which is equal to 7.5 times ur own body weight sitting on u. ouch! Reminds me of my ex... ;)

  • Anyone knows how much I should pay for this trip? hahaha...just kidding.. so jealous...very much..

  • lucky bitch

  • all right!

  • hey i was gonna say that

  • you are ONE LUCKY SON OF A****!!! i`m jealous :P

  • Are you a reporter? I am and I would give my right arm for a media ride.

  • awesome ... now do a Su-27 ..plz :-)

  • try f-22 raptor

  • the su-27 is more gay then 4 guys blowing 5 guys

  • This is not fake, the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds give publicity flights to members of the media all the time. I live in Yuma, AZ and everytime they are here, somebody gets to go up.

  • yes but this is the first one I've seen where the guy didn't get sick or pass out! Would like to have seen what the next 5 mins of his ride was like... :)

  • ^_^

  • I'm jealous,verry JEALOUS...

  • lol, oh i didnt do that the plane did it by itself.

    hey was that number 7?

  • Had to be #7- it's the only two-seater. Blue Angels 1-6 are single-seat aircraft.

  • Wow, he is lucky!!

  • You cannot buy a trip in an F/A-18. This was a 'fam' trip, which the armed forces often provide when they think there will be good publicity. In fact, the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds, along with other demonstration teams, are really used for recruitment purposes - and effectively.

  • hey how much did it cost?

  • Wow. You're really really lucky. Since I'm going to see these same guys tomorrow, at the Dobbins Air Foce Base in Georgia, I'm hoping they'll have this here.

  • You're so bloody lucky.

  • like flight simulator 2002?

  • this is fake --- green screen!!!!!!!!!!

  • No - it's real. I flew for around an hour. This takeoff was at El Centro NAS, CA, and I'm guessing someone here will recognize the runway configuration.

The Angels, and other demo teams, often arrange flights for publicity. This aired at the local station where I work in Connecticut, and on Inside Space, which I was hosting at the time, on SciFi.

It really was a once in a lifetime experience.

  • As I was watching this I thought the scenery looked familiar. I was born, and have family in El Centro that used to rent cars to those guys. Some of the best people that you will ever meet.

  • Yes - these are really "Right Stuff" people. And, make no mistake about it, this flying is very strenuous. The pilots are all slim and toned... considering they sit at work!

  • It don`t get no better...thanks for sharing

  • I wish I could be so lucky!

  • Now that's just not fair. How can I get a ride?
