They all were at thier very best at Wembly. ABBA at the peak. Everyone on stage did an outstanding job. You can tell that they all felt that this was the performance of a lifetime.
ABBA IS AND FOREVER WILL BE THE BEST, I LOVE THEM !!! ABBA É E PARA SEMPRE SERÁ O MELHOR, EU OS AMO !!! ( TRANSLATED INTO PORTUGUESE FROM BRAZIL ). GREETINGS FROM BRAZIL BY KIKO !!!
I´m 14! And I´m an great ABBA-fan, not a lot´s of people understand that, but they are so GREAT!!!!!!!! Not like that modern stuff. And this video is one of the best.
@Hesam0000 No offence, pal, but you're not much of an ABBA fan then. You claim to have been their fan for 35 YEARS and you don't even know their discography? This song is no rarity, no unreleased track, it simply comes from one of their albums. I don't want to start a war here, I just encourage you to listen to all their stuff, album by album. I bet all you listened to so far is one of their "Greatest hits" compilation albums.
@pilarp23 I've listened to every album released internationally and this song was not in any of them. You might be from Europe and have access to more of their records but I'm from Iran and I also live in America and trust me, this song is NOT released on any US or international albums. By the way it's plain rude to degrade someone's devotion to something because devotion is something personal between the person and the subject and it's no one elses business to judge other's level of devotion.
@Hesam0000 This is the song from "The Album", ABBA's fifth studio album, released internationally. I really doubt US version is any different and lacks this track, so you probably didn't listen to it after all. I didn't mean to be rude, I just get annoyed by people who claim to be long-time fans of some band and it turns out all they heard is a basic set of tracks known as "the greatest hits". I just thought you were one of them. If I misjudged you, I'm sorry. ABBA's friends are my friends.
@pilarp23 No such album was released in America in the 27-28 years that I've lived here, America has this stupid self-appreciation system where they don't allow a better outsider enter their market out of fear of embarassment. Before 1983 I only had access to bootlegged copies of Abba albums in Iran because import of music was banned still I had heard 95% of Abba's English-language music. I rarely ever buy "greatest hits" CDs because I have the same songs in original released form.
@pilarp23 Most of my Abba experience was between 1976-1983 in Iran from bootlegged copies that had no album name, just songs. In 83 I came to the US and there was no ABBA anywhere until 1992 when Abba Gold came out by Polygram. They released the 10thyr edition Gold in 2002 which I didn't buy because heard all of 1st one B4.My most favorite songs are:1.Voulez Vous 2.Mamma Mia 3.The Day Before you came 4.Summer Night City 5.The Winner takes it all +Agnetha-If I Thought You'd Ever Change Your Mind
MAN O MAN...DO I EVER LOVE THIS SONG ! It gets me going every time I hear it. I wasn't crazy for it when it was popular and I was a teen. What the heck was wrong with me ! Too much school ! I just LOVE this song now...what a song ! These guys could play anything and it would be great. What a band !
Incredible ! We know that Agnetha is great, but here she soars past that description. This awesome live performance shows the mind blowing heights she was capable of when she was able to put her heart, soul, and immense talent fully into a song.
I would also like to know what Frida said to Benny that made him laugh so. She is really very natural, and funny, onstage in ABBA videos.
But Agnetha... oh God, Agnetha gives me chills when I watch her really get into a song like she does here.
Do you think the audience did not realize what they had been watching at this concert at London's Wembley Arena? Listen to the thunderous applause. Wish I had been there.
Even what on the records sounds like pop or even disco, they mostly played on the concerts as rock..but this video is absolutely amazing, they were on their top, the girls were getting flowers from the audience during performing, we will not see such legend anymore...
I was lucky enough to see them in 1979 when I was 19 in San Diego, CA. I actually didn't want to go, but my girlfriend at the time was in love with them and I was subtly forced to go. I would have rather gone to a Yes or Genesis concert! Thank God for Julie K. I was at a show that turned out to be the only live tour the band ever did in the states, and I actually enjoyed it. Looking back, I consider myself very fortunate and would pay anything to see them reunite (which will never happen).
GIANT...some people should listen to this and they will maybe change their opinion about this band...they were capable to play a lot of different style...
This song is in my top 5 songs of ABBA... it rocks more than a lot of rock band who pretend so hard to be dangerous rebels...
What a beautiful smile by Frida an the end. With all the emotion going on in this song it shows the enjoyment ABBA has entertaining us as well as the satisfaction of knowing they've hit the mark.
Yeah that scream by Agnetha is something else. It's great to see someone let loose like that and stay on pitch. Another example is at the very end of the live performance of Tiger (from the movie)where she sings, "Tiger...tiger... tiger!"
I don't know what note that is on the keyboard, but it's pretty darn high on the guitar - up to F# (13th fret) on the high E string. Singing that high in full voice is a nice thing to have in your bag of tricks! : )
Agnetha definitely glissed up an octave to that B5. If I'm hearing right - I think Annifrid's singing around the G below B4, while Agnetha is singing straight B4 on ".. rock and roll/To fill th ehole in your soul" - at which point she glisses up to B5..

Who says Agnetha doesn't have vocal range. At 1:53 she hits a note higher than I have ever heard her do before. Easily B5.
