Great story, Daryl! I do know that feeling of fear. I double dog dared myself to go to ST1, and unlike you I committed myself to a flight, a rental car, and a hotel.
I was mortified when I drove up to the hotel. I just KNEW it was the worst idea I'd ever had. And when I walked in the lobby, first person I saw was Lemonette, and I got a hug I'll never forget. It's been a grand downhill slide ever since.

Ang, my ST3 magnet has been at the top of the fridge door since I brought it home. The only time it's moved was a temporary disruption when I bought a new fridge. :-)

Did you get a new web cam? This video is so clear!! Woo Hoo!! I was a little apprehensive coming to my first ST meeting but OMG, it was the best thing I ever went to and, like you said, it was like meeting family and everyone was so great! I loved meeting you at Chattanooga! :))

You were apprehensive? I was freaking out thinking that I would not know anyone there. I was afraid that I would spring all this money to fly there and then stay in my room the entire time, getting room service. When I heard your little shriek (lol) I knew I was golden :)))
The other day I was trying to remember why I didn't go. DUH! My surgery was the day ST started. I really missed y'all.
@silverscreamgrl Im so glad we were able to calm each other, it was so much fun! No surgeries and no drama this year, only vacation with friends and lots of good food!
@1DRock37167 Yes.. SO happy that we were able to calm one another. I will try to do my ST story as well. I cannot tell you how worried I was! Seriously. Then you stepped in and were the tour guide supreme :)
What a nice calendar in the background! Yes, it is cool to meet those that you interact with on line. It just feels natural. Thepughouse had a great time at last ST. He really was sold on the whole thing. A ST story?? hmmmmm.
