the center of gravity is so low on the XC that it still corners really well, a stock SX will handle on rails though

hey, i have about 50 hours on my 08 450XC and im having trouble starting my quad. just to start it i will take a hole battery and i hope it starts! ive checked/cleaned the air cleaner and i have the choke on but still a bitch to start! i take very good care of my toys but cant figure out what the problem is. have you ever had this problem?

i've had two rebuilds.. just put an hour meter on it after my most recent rebuild which was last month.. i wanna say they'res between 300 to 400 hours on the chassis.. in the fall i ride at least 5 times a week for 3-4 hours... for how much i ride my machine i'll accept the rebuilds now and then.. ktms will treat u right if you take care of them

it's pretty loud but it's not overly loud, you can purchase a quiet core from HMF that reduces the DB level, in my video i wasn't running a quiet core

Couple questions if you don't mind... Does it have a speedometer? Compare it to the YFZ450, DS450, 450R, and whatever the hell Suzuki has for a 450 class quad, how does the KTM 525 hold up speed wise against those? I'm assuming the bigger engine would win, but =P ya never know. Also, is it comfortable to drive on paved roads? Thanks, and really bad ass videos. Gotta be honest, I think I like em better without music =P sweet quad.

it doesn't have a speedometer, stock for stock it has more power then most 450's but anything can be made fast once u start putting money into it.. and actually my ktm drives pretty nice on pavement, it's just hard on the tires so i dont do it too often, check out my Ditch Riding video

71 mph KTM top speed stock form ( at rev-limiter) XC model , both 450-525 have the same top speed since its the same engine with only piston/cylinder difference.

@BadAss450R11 FIRST do you own one of these? i bet no , i do own one , i mesured the top speed with a gps. they are not geared for top speed. 71 mph/ 115 km/h at the rev-limiter. Next time before talking shit try to back your talk with some proof.

the YFZ is a great machine but it needs some aftermarket work in order to make it real competitive, i picked the KTM because it had a good mix of everything, if i were to get a 450 other then a KTM it'd be a YFZ
