  • I think Joe was really excited about this performance, after all Elvis and the Beatles played in the Ed Sullivan theater. Its a great version of Johnny Appleseed. And, there is a flying Telecaster!!!

  • joe strummer didn't find the clash... he was asked to join the band

  • THE CLASH never existed until Joe joined so in essence he is a founding member

  • that's not true, of course Joe was the heart of The Clash, but The Clash (they weren't called the clash back then) was only missing the lead singer back in 1976 before Joe joined, they had some songs already done etc.

  • They were also missing a drummer and any songs they may have had were under the banner London SS, Paul Simonon came up with the name The Clash once Joe joined him and Mick. Your argument suggests that we can say The Clash existed when Mick Jones was sitting in his room learning to play the guitar as a lone 14 year old.

  • they had a drummer already, if I remember right, Robert Harper was his name... It was Harper or Chimes back then. But, I might be wrong, and yeah, I see what you mean with my argument... But, where did this argument start from?! I can't see the comment I replied in first place... Nah, never mind

  • Rock 'n' roll band ???

    WHAT

  • aah. happy once again.!

  • "Lenny Bruce is dead/he was the older brother you never had"

-'Lenny Bruce Is Dead' by Bob Dylan

That's how I felt about Woody Mellor aka

    Joe Strummer.

  • Muchas gracias por lo q transmites, por lo q expresas, por lo q haces sentir con la letra, la pasion y la esperanza... Gracias Joe, The Clash 4 ever
