  • Lifters...dont worry...rod noise comes from in between the head and the manifold

Lifters are near intake mani and injectors/head

  • i have the same problem on my car, i hope its not the conrod. Did u manage to fix it and what was it?

  • get some proma MBL8 and mix it with the oil as recommended......it works. I have several Mitsubishi cars with lifter noise and this stuff cures it

  • definitley lifters mate

  • @totaradairyunit late but thanks . is my fisrt dsm didnt know much about them back them . is a normal mitsubishi lifters tick lol

  • Yes its normal for a dsm , this my first dsm i didnt know what the noise was . But so far car is runing good and realiable must likely because car still has everything stock

  • I haven't seen a dsm that doesn't do that. my car does it too i think its normal for most dsm's. Then after you rebuild it like full rebuild it usually goes away some how such as aftermarket pistons, rods, basically rebuild motor lol.

  • Must be lifters , there are days that i dont get the noise like right now , i just started the engine and nothing , im using mobile 1 10 30 symthetic , engine has 144ks but seens to be ruunin strong car has everyrhing stock no mods ,i only have about 4 months with this car

  • Lifters first guess piston slap next guess. you might be using too thick of oil. try something 1 step thinner if you want. depending on your engines health it could go away or make it worse caution when doing the test.
