  • Hi thrombox, I don't know how the government specifies power measurement so can't say.

  • Honda claimed 42 at 8000, but that would be at the crank, about 32 at the rear wheel. My bike produced just under 50 at the rear wheel on that run at 7000rpm. It should go to 9000+ but was running on 1 cylinder from around 4500 up. Taking into account the power needed to drive the blower, that is about 98 at the crank. In theory it should go to about 150 at the crank on 30 psi boost; if the other cylinder will play ball.

  • @Kompins I've just bought one of these bikes but have a couple of months left on a restricted 33bhp license. I understand a standard CB500t should today have around 32bhp?

    Any pointers appreciated. Thanks

  • So how much oomph does the Honda have? I'm just curious because I got a 75 cb500t and I believe they're a little over 40 horse stock, but this obviously is much stronger.
