This is a sad song by a very talented lady. However, ironically, she did get hers and it took her out and ended the talent. She was truly troubled and joined other troubled members of the "27 Club." We must be candid in saying that a song like this one demonstrates the perils of self determination. It is sad to think that she entered into eternity on a drug overdose and little else that would suggest she was prepared to do so.
