To clarify the situation. While many scientists are unable to dimiss entirely the idea of a creator, the vast majority are NOT religious in the sense of believing in a God who interacts with humans. This is because science is based on evidence and there is no evidence to indicate the Bible or Koran come from God or Allah. Rather, there is so much in each that contradicts facts that scientists know to be true.
@Slik00Silk I didn't make that up, that's something that was quoted by Neil Degrasse Tyson. I can't speak for other texts, but the thing to understand with the bible is that its very metaphorical, and is meant to teach lessons, it is not a textbook. IMO religion is guidance on how to treat and deal with one another, and we should research and study how the universe works as much as possible. I don't understand why they contradict each other, i think that comes from man.

From those same searches, I totally do not agree that Jesus was the son of God; or that there is any salvation after death for none is needed because there is no evidence for an afterlife. Keep in mind God have brought them out of bondage, given them instructions, etc. And the basically spit in his face, like whatever. So Jesus had to be sacrifice in order to make thing right for humanity. Prior to Jesus people sacrificed animals to God in order to be redeemed, but they had done much that their sins were above animal being sacrificed.

They could believe how advanced he was. He knew so much, as he was divine.

Definately a genius. To clarify the situation. While many scientists are unable to dimiss entirely the idea of a creator, the vast majority are NOT religious in the sense of believing in a God who interacts with humans. This is because science is based on evidence and there is no evidence to indicate the Bible or Koran come from God or Allah. Rather, there is so much in each that contradicts facts that scientists know to be true.

I can't speak for other texts, but the thing to understand with the bible is that its very metaphorical, and is meant to teach lessons, it is not a textbook. IMO religion is guidance on how to treat and deal with one another, and we should research and study how the universe works as much as possible. I don't understand why they contradict each other, i think that comes from man.

From those same searches, I totally do not agree that Jesus was the son of God; or that there is any salvation after death for none is needed because there is no evidence for an afterlife. This is a common ploy/tactic that Xtians use to try and get into our heads.
I have no bad experiences from any of the churches I once associated myself with, nor with any xtians in my past either.
God is clearly a megalomaniac, and reading the bible with an open mind shows just how selfish he is.
Heck, he loves the scent of a burnt sacrifice, thus used to demand them from us.

If you ask Him to show you him so that YOU know beyond a shawdow of a do but that He is real, He will show you. Question him. Ask to HEAR a word that ONLY he can do, so that you can know if he's real? I dont believe you landed on this page by accident, so you are seeking whether you realize it or not. BUT I want you to get the TRUTH you seek. Dont be scared to ask either.

As an apostate, I can tell you that I did just that as a xtian, MANY TIMES and I never got any visit from god nor any contact either.
The reason you 'hear' god is because part of your brain has taken on the role of playing god to you, so what you 'hear' is your own mind pretending to be the god you seek.

@BatmanSucksMyBanana Ok... Jesus had to be born because the people during biblical times had sinned so much that their actions disgusted God. Keep in mind God have brought them out of bondage, given them instructions, etc. And the basically spit in his face, like whatever. So Jesus had to be sacrifice in order to make thing right for humanity. Prior to Jesus people sacrificed animals to God in order to be redeemed, but they had done much that their sins were above animal being sacrificed.

@BatmanSucksMyBanana So the only way that they could get in good graces would for the ultimate to be done. Jesus birth was foretold years in advance. Jesus was born blameless. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit unto a Virgin (Mary). He lived in humble beginnings as the son of a carpenter. He would go and speak in the churches among the elders as a child. They could believe how advanced he was. He knew so much, as he was divine.

He began to speak and fulfill the prohecies one by one, but the people could not understand how he could do it. They only saw in the natural (they saw him as a carpenters son). Jesus also tell his diciples that the truth of who he was would be hidden while he was doing his mission to those who had harden hearts. A person who does not have the spirit of god or pray for dicernment 2 c something spirtual

@BatmanSucksMyBanana will not be able to see it. The natural mind can not comprehen something that is spirtual. For example when someone who does not believe in god tries to read the bible they do not generally understand (unless God shows them) It was the same when Jesus spoke. He spoke in parabals, so that only those who believe could understand. That way people were serious about wanting to know God. As salvation only comes by faith. Believing that God is real, Jesus died on the cross, etc

I didn't see that what she was painting of God, was leaning towards a caucasian man. In the painting he has olive colored skin and his eyes are the color of the sea. Jesus was known to have olive colored skin and hair like lambs wool. God is a spirit, so he is not a color. Just my two cents.
