Recently I've been summoning my yak at the bank, which allows me to put extra summoning potions in it. I also take runes for one cast of Spiritualise Food, and use it when I get a shark drop. This extends the timer slightly, and counteracts the time I spent at the bank and getting to the cave.
Unfortunately, you cannot alch in the frost cave for some unknown reason, else I would recommend it.
As for telegrabs, they're not really necessary. Once you become practiced, you can pick up bones, lure the dragons, attack them, and reload your cannon all at the same time.
As you reminded me of earlier, I might try summoning my yak at the bank and using Spiritualise Food to extend the timer, and I'll tell you how it goes.
Just had my first 200+ bone trip. This comes with another tip =)
Towards the end of a good trip, you may wish to discard lower value loots, such as herbs which you only received 1-2 of, to make space for those extra few bones.
One other tip I forgot to mention in the video - Rune Longswords and Uncut Diamonds are worth slightly more than bones, so you should keep them instead of bones.
