Honestly i expected Lavos to be more of a treat,of course you can try to fight him really early on in the game,but as for this part,it's really damn easy,i just spammed Luminare and Dark Matter

I think it would have been cool if the creators did what wind waker did (even though that came a few years after this) where you actually go back and fight the bosses and only give you the equipment you had at that time. Except for this game they could have leveled you down to the level you were at when you fought the bosses last time.

I think Lavos imitates the bosses so that you kind of get the feel of how strong you've gotten since the beginning.

With regard to Lavos as an individual character... since Lavos arrived at 65,000,000 BC, and began feeding off the planet through to the apocalypse at 1999 AD, wouldn't it be fair to say that all the bosses in the game are more minor forms of Lavos, getting increasingly more powerful the closer you come to facing him, in that each boss is a sort of "remnant" of a part of Lavos?

Also, I think it's kind of funny how we see Lavos Spawns in this game, and then in FFX we see Sin and Sin Spawns lol

If you bring Magus into this fight his theme will play while you battle Zeal, but I don't really like using him here, because most of his attacks are multi-targeting, thus hitting the hands, and causing them to use those nasty counters :(

in the DS version, crono ayla and lucca's my endgame party. lucca can easily be one of your strongest character with the spellslinger (new weapon) and ayla's bronze fist can do OVER 9000!
