It's good to know that even when no one else loves us God still does! There are no strangers or outcasts NO orphans of God! This reminds me of a song called It Doesn't Matter. It doesn't matter who you are it doesn't matter where you've been it doesn't matter what you've done Jesus is softly calling but because of WHO HE IS and because of WHERE HE'S BEEN and because of WHAT HE'S DONE YOU CAN START ALL OVER AGAIN! wow!!
The first time I heard this song was at a show choir competition and it was SO beautiful. The group wore long white sparkling dresses and white tuxes. The soloist was also incredible, and it felt just like a group of angels was singing to you! I was so lost in the moment, I felt like God was talking to me. My heart was warmed, and chills were sent up my back, this song does that to you! There are no orphans of God, we are all His children <3
This woman at church can't have children. Her and her husband have adopted two children from over seas. She got up with her 4 year old Asian baby girl and they sang this together. This song means so much to me and my church. God loves you, no matter who you are. There are no orphans of God. ♥
Aww i know of the woman at 0:54 she sleeps outside the cathedral in my city, ive tried speaking to her but she gets to nervous so its best not to scare her :( Its really sad the way England is becoming... Amazing song God bless all faithful Christians around the world and those still to come :)
I think the point is that we're all unworthy, but that God doesn't turn away people who ask for forgiveness and to be His children. Are you suggesting that there is someone God is incapable of saving? I, for one, agree with @ebkpanda
I think its funny how a lot of "Christians" quote the parts of the bible they were taught without reading it themselves. You are your own person. Read it and interpret how you think it is. Not because of what a preacher told you on Sunday morning!
i saw 3d performing this at ignite with my friend beside me. it changed my perspective, it's so beautiful. Praise the Lord! this song is such a wonderful message!
where does it say that not all are saved? This song is about grace and God's love. There is no condemnation in this song. That is why it is my favorite.
@ebkpanda May I respectfully reply with a question? Who are those who will say "Lord,Lord" but He never knew them and tells them to depart? Who are those who have their part in the lake of fire? Who are the goats that are separated from the sheep? Who are the tares that are sown amongst the wheat, but cast into the fire at the time of harvest? If all are saved, why must we enter by the narrow gate, and who are the MANY that go in the broad way to destruction?
@ebkpanda Matthew: 7:21 "Not everyone who says Lord, Lord shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven." You asked "where does it say we're not all saved?" Well, it says it in the Bible. A lot.
@ebkpanda It's a wonderful thing to listen to songs of worship... And how much better it is to understand the meaning behind them. To be saved is to repent of our sins, ask forgiveness and accept the saving grace sacrifice and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though this saving grace extends to all, not all will accept. The sad fact is more won't than will.
"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
Who are we to judge the unfruitful? Who are we to judge the sinners? Don't point out the sliver in someone's eye when you have a log in your own. All of these are paraphrases of Jesus. This song is about love your neighbors and welcoming God's children. I live my life by those messages of the scripture. This song personifies my beliefs and the God that I believe in.
I think you need to read your new testament again. The message of Jesus Christ was that we are God's children and that he loves us. He gave his only son to DIE For Us. So yes we mess up like all children, but like the wonderful father he is he FORGIVES us. NO MATTER WHAT. Not because we deserve it, but because he is able and loving. and go toystoryhw! I totally agree with you.
@ebkpanda during the old covenant, people had to live according to the 10 commandments. Their sins could only be forgiven with a sacrifice. In the new covenant (now) Jesus died for our sins and we are forever forgiven. If we sin, we dont say "Lord please forgive me for my sin", we say "Lord thank you for sending Jesus to die for me so that all my sins are forgiven". We also do good deeds due to the fact that we are thankful for the death of Christ
The whole point of this song is this: A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation. (Ps. 68:5)
It is praise that He does not neglect anyone. He SO could... we have done nothing to deserve His Fatherly care, yet He gives it without partiality (Rom. 2:11). The gospel itself is that we were outside of His family, and He chose us - though we could offer Him nothing - to be in His family. I am so thankful He did not leave me an orphan (John 14:18).
This isn't a song about entitlement, it is a song about grace. We are all broken in some way, all sinners. This song is about how all of us are wretches, like in Amazing Grace, but that God loves all of us anyway. We are all the prodigal son, the wretch, the Samaritan, the rich man, ect. God is OUR Father who loves us no matter what. Period. And he will always love all of us. So it isn't that we are entitled to his love, it is that we are graced with his love and his acceptance warts and all.
@Krantz2389 the way i look at this song is that although we are children of God, we aren't perfect....we are going to sin....it's inevitable....we are of the flesh....born into it....it's by God's grace that we get through and are forgiven....we aren't orphans because doesn't just throw us away for not being perfect....he's always going to be there....he will never leave us nor forsake us....that is the message that i got from it!
@Krantz2389 I think also what this song is saying is, everyone sins and no matter who u are and what youve done or been through, God still loves you. And you can always come back to Him. I dont belive that there is a point where youve strayed too far that God cant take you back or that God no longer loves you.
@Krantz2389 well all i can say is that you have to pray get saved he loves you no matter who you are and once you get saved then you start to listen to other songs to help you even farther
this song's about how His love draws us to Him even though we may be "orphans" in the world... it's NOT ABOUT US! It's HIS promise to be merciful and to love us
pray that He may help you to truly understand this song
@Krantz2389 All I can say is this! Does that look like the video for this song? Anyway be blessed and think logically about the fact that this is a put together slideshow! Your heart is very pure in the fact that you looked at it and presumed that it was put together by the singer of the song! I can't even judge you as your heart in that alone shows to be more pure then mine and anyone else quick to judge, but the person that made the slideshow must have had good reason! Don't judge either!
we are signing this song for the battered women shelter to let them know no matter where they have been or what has happened there is a GOD that LOVES US!!!!!!!
I will say that Amazing Grace is probably the most beautiful songs I have ever heard in my life. As a song to praise God Amazing Grace will always win in my books. I don't think any song can be better, well maybe Abide with Me. However as a song to spread the message of God's love this song is it. I think Orphans of God is a song about how much we Love God because he loves and accepts us. It is a song about Acceptance and being part of God's family. Nothing can beat that Message. Ever.
this song is about being a true christian, just because someone doesn't know god doesn't mean we shouldn't push them away, just because someone is gay that doesn't mean that god didn't die for their sins just like straight people

I love this song. In 2004 and 2006, I volunteered in Ukraine at Joshua House. I heard stories of children who have overcome impossible circumstances and have learned to love again. They reach out to their hurting communities to offer tangible help and hope. I learned so much from them...previously orphaned or abandoned by their families, but led to the Father's arms through missionaries. A wonderful ministry of triumph! I was blessed to witness the miracles of this ministry.
Thank you so much for posting this song. Each time I hear it, it brings tears to my eyes, and makes me remember how thankful I am that I have a Father in Heaven, who loves me and is wanting me to serve Him. Thanks for this song, as it has been a blessing to me for close to 3 years now.
And Christ said..."Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11: 28. He is always there. He has His nail scarred hand out to us all of the time. He never tires, and He is patient. He has so much more patience than I have in my small finger. I am so thankful for that.
I also have gay friends. Everyone needs love. Everyone needs God. He'll take us, all we have to do is ask. So I just thank you for doing what you have done. My scars are still there and probably will never heal, and my children are scarred him too, and now one is dead because of him(ex). Still asking God for strength and wisdom to forgive him for that one
I am sorry for your loss. Losing anyone you love is hard. I can only imagine what loosing a child would be like. If I had my wish then no one would ever feel that pain.
I agree that God is waiting for us to find him and ask forgiveness.Though I don't agree with many peoples' ideas of sin. I believe that no matter what we do or what mistakes we make, there is absolutely no way to make God stop loving us. He may wish us to change but he will love us no matter what we do, say, or believe.
ebkpanda - I know you asked for no comments. I am not intending to say anything to hurt or insult you. What I do want to say is that I cannot believe with every cell of being that our God who is a loving God loves all of us regardless of anything. He is just waiting for us to come to Him. Your video is very touching. I have been in a place where I have felt unloved/unwanted. Exhusband took my kids away when I was diagnosed with BiPolar disorder, called crazy, kicked when I was down.
Just so everybody knows. I do not want this comment page to start a debate about god, sin or anything else. so if all you can say is I think you are wrong or I hate .... then please don't write. I made this video to show and share God's love for everybody no matter your life or choices. And no I don't believe that sexuality is a choice.
So if you would like to leave something talking about God's love then please do. I do not want to hear about your hate or prejudice. Thank you.
We may not agree on evrythng but I hope we can agree that salvation is based on faith, not works Eph 2:9. Though your concern is well intentioned please consider how your words affect other sincere people who strive to live authentically w/ God. Many in the LGBT community have been rejected by churches. Accusations of sin & unnatural acts just remind of that rejection & do nothing to draw us closer to God. Please allow this song of acceptance to stand, & to let God draw all people unto Him.
Hey ttrickett. I don't think thanks are needed for including the lgbt community. God loves everybody no matter sexual orientation. The reason my whole family loves this song is because of the welcoming and loving attitude presented in the lyrics. And we sing it specifically for the lgbt community. My nuclear family is all straight but we have a lot of gay friends who we consider family. I see no sin in loving someone no matter the gender.
Thanks ebkpanda. While I agree that God loves everyone, and that we should all follow this song's message, the reality is that many do not. I'm in leadership at a Christian church for which our primary outreach is to LGBT people. As a result, I've seen a lot of hurt folks...but, thanks to God (and to people like you), I've also seen lots who've come through it. I feel it's important to give credit where credit is due...to God, and to those who follow His example.
Thank you so much for recognizing the gay community in your video. As a Christian who is gay, I was deeply moved by the inclusion. It is comforting...and healing...to see the wider Christian community strive to embrace everyone, even when...especially when...they may not agree or understand. I think that is one of the things Jesus called us to do.
It's easy to be open to what we know and understand, but it shows the heart of God to respect those we do not.
I heard this song sang by another group and it touched me to the core of my heart. The words are true of what God is all about and we as humans need to have the same concept.
don,t know what avalon believes as far as salvation goes but this song is the true gospel for God will have ALL men to be saved and to come to the understanding of the truth in due time, all the prodigals will run to the voice of love and will confess that Christ is Lord to the glory of the father for creation was subjected to vanity not willingly but because of the one who subjected in hope that creation itself will be set free from slavery into the glory of the children of God...Amen.
It's good to know that even when no one else loves us God still does! There are no strangers or outcasts NO orphans of God! This reminds me of a song called It Doesn't Matter. Yes he loves us that is why he gave us a free will to accept his will or ignore it..
After 29 years of a wretched stinking life my Lord chose me..
Did I deserve it???? NO.

What you says is true :)
If you are truly His kid...then you will love repentance.
Sometimes it takes us longer to stop saying "I am fine"....or is that just me :P
No sin is too great that God won't choose you to be adopted.
The question is...do we want a nice religion that makes our life here on earth a little better......
or do we want salvation and slow but sure change?

I heard this song sang by another group and it touched me to the core of my heart. The words are true of what God is all about and we as humans need to have the same concept.

don,t know what avalon believes as far as salvation goes but this song is the true gospel for God will have ALL men to be saved and to come to the understanding of the truth in due time, all the prodigals will run to the voice of love and will confess that Christ is Lord to the glory of the father for creation was subjected to vanity not willingly but because of the one who subjected in hope that creation itself will be set free from slavery into the glory of the children of God...Amen.
