I'm actually getting closer on running TF2 on my netbook, it worked like a charm a few years back, but I got a new Aspire One after giving one to a friend (I use a D250 now) it's more powerful, but TF2 won't run on good speeds anymore. I have a decent desktop as it is, I just need to get a graphics card and 2GB of RAM (Max it'll go) as it already runs at 2.5GHz, which is good enough.
Ok, I've installed Flatout2 and runs very good! (I'll load a video next week), specs are: cpu atom n270 (not overclocked jet), ram 1gb+2gb readyboost, gpu intel gma 950 overclocked, hd 120gb S.O. windows 7 professional.
Everything is setted high, anbd the game doesn't lag! During the game the higest temp. I've ever had is 50°C!!!
The atom n270 is a dual core, the p4 isn't, so teorically atom have to run much faster, but obviously it's a netbook processor, not a desktop one, so I think that each core of the atom run a bit slower than the p4.
I saw the game showed Nvidia, did you leave the laptop stock or did you mess with the drivers, I have an Acer Aspire One D250 and it wont run battlefield 2 demo because it lacks nvidia

Yes, it´s super!! But it´s pity, that I can´t have readyboost, because in my PC is Windows XP and it can´t run on high settings so good...

the atom is not a dual core it is only using hyperthreathing which emulates dual core and makes the performance a little better
