For clear HD underwater videos, the GoPro HD does not support this. You will need to purchase a Vholdr Contour HD with the H20V underwater lens. This allows you clear and focused shots underwater. You can find the H20V underwater case at GMSconcepts "dot" com

Sorry about the disappointment in the underwater image quality.
The Hero camera is able to record video under water but we do not market this camera specifically for underwater use extensively as a diving camera etc.
At this time, we do not have a resolution for clearer underwater images as a remedy is presently in development.

I have the GOPRO Hero wide, and thought what a cool camera. But like most consumers I started to think what could make this camera better. Well...... after I saw the preproduction videos of the HD camera and specs, I was blown away! Looking forward to getting one as soon as possible.
