Lee Marvin was a fine actor but no way no how does he deserve this Oscar over either Rod Steiger or Richard Burton. The biggest f-up of all time.

SIGH -- you just do not see many gruff hero types ike Lee marving so much any more. I am afraid that hollywood has gone to politically correct or too pretty boy to have a leading man with real grit in his on screen presentation. And John Wayne would be considered a bad guy now. and the sad part is that there are plenty of those men in the real world its just become part of hollywoods agenda to not reprint them so much any more -- I guess -- I am just musing about it not trying to fight.

The guy with the microphone has a tv series which interviewed stars. this was from that show which used to be broadcsst on late night tv about 15 year ago, (OLD RERUNS) you had to tape in when it was listed, but just like music videos there are no more free stuff about show buisness. anymore well except youtube. I had this somehwere they show shelly getting her Oscar.

Yes. It was April 1966 but as the Oscars were given for 1965 I kept that date.
