James Henry, is my choral instructor here at University of St. Louis. I love working with him day in and day out. The things he can do are truly amazing.
I love this freaking quartet!!!!!!! I was able to see them in Akron, Ohio not long before they had to stop singing with Rob. What a tough time that was, cried my eyes out when I heard he passed.
@BarbershopHero - yeah, they are awesome. I remember sending them an e-mail one time asking if they were going to do a cd of strictly hyms. I got an answer back that stated they were thinking of doing one. It was a sad day when I heard Rob passed too.
What do you mean by "backwards"? While the bass and lead almost always stand in the middle for barbershop, the left-right placement can be different depending on how the quartet feels it blends better. For example, Jim Henry (the bass here) stands on the other side of the lead in his new quartet Crossroads.
Considering that they're using microphones and singing at a large venue as I assume this is, It doesn't really matter how they're standing since the soound going out to the audience is all up to the person in charge of the soundboard. Never been in a barbershop band though so it's only an educated guess as a musician who's been on stage.
Would anyone believe me if I said Kip, the tenor was my stepdad at one point? Probably not...

cause Jim's deaf in his right ear, so it's only sensible to put the baritone there.
