  • Would anyone believe me if I said Kip, the tenor was my stepdad at one point? Probably not...

  • 1:10 what a note that is just rings :D AMAZING

  • Simply stunning! My favorite quartet ever :)

  • I had a freak out when Jim Henry took the octave down on "band" hahaha!

  • what a baritone..

  • they´re so freakin effortless, like it´s the easiest thing in the world anyone can do :-D love that band :-D

  • They're the best

  • Epic mustache!

  • amazing group, i love the christmas album

  • Really interesting performance! Sounds great :D

  • James Henry, is my choral instructor here at University of St. Louis. I love working with him day in and day out. The things he can do are truly amazing.

  • Rob was the Baritone. On the left as you are looking at them in the video.

  • im probly starting one of these, fresh heat and the barbercats or just the barbercats

  • I love this freaking quartet!!!!!!! I was able to see them in Akron, Ohio not long before they had to stop singing with Rob. What a tough time that was, cried my eyes out when I heard he passed.

  • @BarbershopHero

I am pleased you have this video as a remembrance.

  • @BarbershopHero which one was Rob? Is he the one on the left with gray hair?

  • @BarbershopHero - yeah, they are awesome. I remember sending them an e-mail one time asking if they were going to do a cd of strictly hyms. I got an answer back that stated they were thinking of doing one. It was a sad day when I heard Rob passed too.

  • if you want to here a song by them that has a really good lock look up Great Day on the The Gas House Gang's Fifth album its great

  • Right at 2:32, their lock is perfect. wow.

  • i wonder if that was a barbershop audience... I'm sooo happy they didn't start clapping before the cut-off :)

  • Does anyone know why they line up backwards?

  • What do you mean by "backwards"? While the bass and lead almost always stand in the middle for barbershop, the left-right placement can be different depending on how the quartet feels it blends better. For example, Jim Henry (the bass here) stands on the other side of the lead in his new quartet Crossroads.

  • cause Jim's deaf in his right ear, so it's only sensible to put the baritone there.

  • oh whoops, silly me, that's Marquis!

  • Considering that they're using microphones and singing at a large venue as I assume this is, It doesn't really matter how they're standing since the soound going out to the audience is all up to the person in charge of the soundboard. Never been in a barbershop band though so it's only an educated guess as a musician who's been on stage.

  • Good recording and performance!

  • I'm glad this got back on. The previous posting of this video disappeared off here. Thanks! This is one of my favorite songs they do.

  • Pleased you enjoyed it!

  • Ah.. this is what Storm Front meant from one of their Parodies from Denver with the whole 'Band, Jim Henry,' reference. This is great.

  • Awesome! I've been looking for this one! Thanks for posting!

  • You're most welcome.
