This is interesting, the tune is listenable to, it remains a good tune in reverse. Perhaps that is part of the secret of Abba's musical scores, they instinctively wrote music that was symmetrical, and this appeals to our subconscious minds.
Just like the good ol' country songs. Play them backwards and you get your wife, dog and house back. In this case, the train a forced smile. Nicely done!
a pity one can allow to run only lied backward and not zeit would only experience too with pleasure abba sometimes live sorry mine is not so good in English ;)
@Patrick45127 Actually, it IS "The Day After You Left". That's the whole point of the song. It's the comparison between before she knew him, and how empty she feels after he has gone, even though the two states should be no different. That is the power of the last verse and the reason this song is so awesome! I get a chill every time she gets to the rain rattling on the roof. She cannot get back to the happiness she had before she met (and lost) him.
i heard that's how they wrote the instrumentals for their songs, backwards, then scored the music and played it the other way round and sung over it to get the songs we know and love.it's true my mate big ron down the pub told me!! also he said this reverse version is in fact the swedish lyrics versionf the song!!

Sorry. I don't find the idea of playing backwards this ABBA song as interesting. As a matter of fact, I find it sick, period. I just couldn't resist the entire "song"...
Time is forced back. The train is back on the station. A young Agnetha smiles melancholically at us again.
And ABBA has a treasure of wonderful new songs coming up for us. I have high expectations for the "Arrival" album, I can hardly wait for it to released.
The first (or should that be last?!) minute sounds really good with the synthesisers. If the beat could be made to sound natural, you definitely have another tune!
And it says "devil come to me", if you listen closely .-))

"Sick?" Man, if you think this is "sick," some one should introduce you to some real "sick" 'cause you've lead a sheltered life.

strange but still brilliant. This song also sounds great if you play it at 33rpm. Agnetha sounding deep and manly, so funny.
