Mate I gota give it to you... I'm recovering from a meniscal injury playing football & was checking out some knee strengthening stuff but you're somethin else! Especially the last one!!
That jump at the end is insane man, really impressive. Good demonstration too, is there any particular leg muscle the knee jump works? I read it was hamstring mostly but it looks like the quads are involved more.
I'm learning how to perform these knee jump progressions. It's been barely a month since I reached the point that I could do the exercise properly. I can do a knee jump to a 3 foot platform. I'm 40 years old, so I'm convinced that Nick has illustrated an exercise that yields actual results.
this is bad ass training its diffrent from what i do but i love to see stuff like this that i never have done kind of want to try with my other training i may may not how knows when i get bored i may try
They develop speed through hip extension which is vital for jumping. They are also a nice addition to any routine as they can be done just about anywhere.
I am very fond of this action,so I can learn a lot.
as a beginner stunt.

Think about it...hip extension is a huge part of athletism in general. Glad you're enjoying these. And by the way, I am 40 this year too ;)

for starting out, how many sets and reps would you recommend?
Lahed92801 2 years ago
Try 5 sets of 2 reps. This is a speed based exercises so no need for high reps. Do them after your squats or deadlifts. Thanks!

You're a beast. What's your max at the knee jumps(with barbell)?
djoe77 3 years ago
No max...I guess if I trained it I could do 100kg. Thanks for looking!
