based on the time that it took him to kill 3, .. would you call that grinding? Better level up as Eelemental or Enhancement, and kill 3 of those within seconds
@Goothieguth :) a.) this was made 3 years ago. Shaman class is not for everyone, and this was resto spec. b.) you can level as enhancement and have resto as your dual spec these days. c.) warlocks are awesome :) it's my main.

As I was leveling to 58 I stayed as enhance. Taking on 4 mobs a time was completly possible to do but would of taken a fraction of the time that it took you here. At 58 I switched over to elemental and stayed that till 80. As elemental I could EASILY solo any mob my level up until the late 70s.
Healing instances was also no problem as elemental due to shared gear with both specs.
I'm just trying to do you a favor, don't level resto :|

My UI has changed since then. Look at the date of the video. I've actually reverted back to the default layout and stripped most/all my addons. Regarding my healing spells, why do they need to be in the middle of the screen? My play style at that time gave me better access to my healing spells being on the left. I agree, I look back at my older videos and I cringe and ask myself, wtf was I thinking lol.
well just to let ya know resto is amazing spec at lvl 50 for grinding and yes questing too it is so mana effiencient i sometime forget i dont have any water when i go in instances cause i dont need it but for sure it is goin to be rough if u dont have the proper gear so if u been leveling enhancement dont waste ur time goin resto cause gear isn't that easy to get

At 60 I switched to Elemental to give that a shot...but I wasn't impressed with its play style despite the large crits and dmg. So I leveled from 62 to 70 resto :) Surprisingly it didn't take as long as I thought it would. It was nice too cuz I solo'd a lot of group quests as resto.

In the time and mana it took you to do that, you could have Lightning bolted 3 mobs with the same amount of mana if not less, just drop searing totem and mana spring and ur good

enhancement is wayyyy better for pvp. I beat elemental shamans all the time, they are not really that good. Everyone says that they have a harder time killing enhancement shamans then elemental
Ele shams are good for flash nukes in arena, and in normal bgs there good froma distance, so long as they don't get attacked. Unlike enhancement, in norm bgs they have to go up to their targets, so they initially take more damage and dide faster. In arenas enhance shams have to depend on luck to much aswell, as compared to ele they just nuke you to death. Hope that helps.

Just a clarification, for those of you thinking I potted, you probably thought I did around 1:50 of the video. If you actually know about certain trinkets, that is a Luffa in which I used to cure a bleed effect that was applied on me by one of the mobs.
I used Bartender for the action bars. AG_unitframes for the health and mana stuff, I used Titan Panel, XP Bar mod, DOT timer and damage meter. I stripped all my addons now, just so that I can get used to playing without mods so when I go to my friend's house I aint gimped by not having any :)

He didn't use a potion. Resto shamans can take on mass enemies without potions, this shows how durable they are. Because resto is the healing spec they are not about damage they are about staying alive. I'd like to see other classes try to do this for as long as a resto shaman does and finish on almost full health.

even if you are enhancment...no matter your build it is always worthwhile to atleast get imp healing wave. there are alot of attractive talents in restro ^.^ but since i'm only lvl 14 i should juts go enhancment and imp healing wave and, concussion, conviction.
Didn't think you would respond, that's nice to see. I tried a 15/0/41 spec the other day (I am a 65 shaman) just for raiding and pvp. I found that in pvp I could survive a lot longer with earthshield healing 460 per proc but the pve wasn't very good since I only have +600 healing w/ gear and totem.
Yea, it's definitely got a better survivability. You really need Nature's Guardian for PVP. For PVE it can be a bit slow. Especially for mobs who run, or yellow ones, or the ones you have to single pull. Although mobs that you can gather is great to put down :). GL on the road to 70 :)
It does suck however that itemization at this level for shammies sucks lol. Thanks man...I'm definitely going to try the suicide specc, but as of now not yet. I enjoy that people take forever to kill me in PVP lol.
When you obtain this go elemental/resto, maybe a 31/0/21 setup with NS & Elemental Mastery. I understand you want to be unique, as did I. But what's you quicker, does more damage, and is a bit more exciting is enhancement until 60ish and then going with spell dmg/healing. You will MOST LIKELY be a heal bot in instances and only pvp could you really be melee. However, resto you seem to like you aren't doing enough damage and a elemental/resto setup would provide a lot better gear
But i couldnt aoe grind as efficient as i could than now. earthshield rox. I was debating about the 31-0-21 suicide specc since its very strong. but as you said I will most likely be a healbot.
And I know this. When I was enh...I was forced to heal in groups...luckly since I have a 70 dr00d, I know to always carry healing gear around and I do fine. I decided to go resto mainly for PVP.
I would say you suck but that's a bit unfair. What you need to understand with this setup is you are primarily based off defense and what you did with those mobs was decent. My suggest?
Go enhancement to grind through 61-62 as you slowly college +dmg/healing gear.
Hey man, Thanks for the constructive comment and sparing me the you suck comment. But as I stated in the video info I had just respecced to resto for PVP reasons. I am hangining out at 60 to wait for some friends to catch up.
I have some outland gear already in the bank which stack up on +dmg/+heal +spellcrit which I cannot use yet until i hit 58-60. I was enhancement prior to this specc and I loved it. Burst dps, I could take down mobs very quickly.

Resto is not a good grinding spec, at all. If you want to take on several mobs at once with little downtime then enhancement is the way to go.
Or, you could roll an affliction warlock and take on 8 mobs at once and finish will nearly full health and mana :)

1. Stoneclaw has a cooldown of 30 seconds, which means NO, you can stoneclaw a shit load of times.
2. Resto Shamans can't deal that much dps, so yes, the fire totems heal a great deal to take down the mobs.

3. This is called an AOE grind, which means slow constant dps, but high survivability (excluding mages since they have a number of utility for AOE).
4. I only stoneclawd once in this fight and that was when I unexpectedly had an extra mob accidentally aggro.

He didn't use a potion. Resto shamans can take on mass enemies without potions, this shows how durable they are. Because resto is the healing spec they are not about damage they are about staying alive. I'd like to see other classes try to do this for as long as a resto shaman does and finish on almost full health.

even if you are enhancment...no matter your build it is always worthwhile to atleast get imp healing wave. there are alot of attractive talents in restro ^.^ but since i'm only lvl 14 i should juts go enhancment and imp healing wave and, concussion, conviction.

Didn't think you would respond, that's nice to see. I tried a 15/0/41 spec the other day (I am a 65 shaman) just for raiding and pvp. I found that in pvp I could survive a lot longer with earthshield healing 460 per proc but the pve wasn't very good since I only have +600 healing w/ gear and totem.

Yea, it's definitely got a better survivability. You really need Nature's Guardian for PVP. For PVE it can be a bit slow. Especially for mobs who run, or yellow ones, or the ones you have to single pull. Although mobs that you can gather is great to put down :). GL on the road to 70 :)

It does suck however that itemization at this level for shammies sucks lol. Thanks man...I'm definitely going to try the suicide specc, but as of now not yet. I enjoy that people take forever to kill me in PVP lol.

When you obtain this go elemental/resto, maybe a 31/0/21 setup with NS & Elemental Mastery. I understand you want to be unique, as did I. But what's you quicker, does more damage, and is a bit more exciting is enhancement until 60ish and then going with spell dmg/healing. You will MOST LIKELY be a heal bot in instances and only pvp could you really be melee. However, resto you seem to like you aren't doing enough damage and a elemental/resto setup would provide a lot better gear

But i couldnt aoe grind as efficient as i could than now. earthshield rox. I was debating about the 31-0-21 suicide specc since its very strong. but as you said I will most likely be a healbot.

And I know this. When I was enh...I was forced to heal in groups...luckly since I have a 70 dr00d, I know to always carry healing gear around and I do fine. I decided to go resto mainly for PVP.

I would say you suck but that's a bit unfair. What you need to understand with this setup is you are primarily based off defense and what you did with those mobs was decent. My suggest?
Go enhancement to grind through 61-62 as you slowly college +dmg/healing gear.

Hey man, Thanks for the constructive comment and sparing me the you suck comment. But as I stated in the video info I had just respecced to resto for PVP reasons. I am hangining out at 60 to wait for some friends to catch up.

I have some outland gear already in the bank which stack up on +dmg/+heal +spellcrit which I cannot use yet until i hit 58-60. I was enhancement prior to this specc and I loved it. Burst dps, I could take down mobs very quickly.
