Man, what's going on at the VERY last part? it sounds like someone is holding a solid C power chord throughout the whole thing, but I can see clearly that Ed is doing the normal C G# B # progression. Could it be Thom? does he have an overdrive pedal going with that acoustic?
@skullface89 I think he does have an over drive with his acoustic. I hear the C too, and it's gotta be either Thom or Colin, or maybe even both. I've found that older renditions of a lot of songs are slightly different.
well, dunno about 20 min, but it used to be 11min long. I think I will have to upload that original version at some point - trouble is... the recordings from those gigs (and they didn't play the 11min version for THAT long...) are not in the best possible shape... but I think I should anyway!
omg please do! ive looked for that but couldnt find it.. that old version is like from that tour they opened for alanis morriest isnt it? like when they sang halleluja instead of rain down at the slow part after the 2nd 7/4 part?
yeah-yeah - exactly. so it will be a bit of a project. This weekend perhaps? the quality will be about the same as CUTW 8.14.96 I posted some time ago... I can drop you a note when I get to it...
ok, I just spent a fair amnt of time extracting and fusing an converting files (not quite in that order ;-) ) - but the point is - I got the 1996-08-14 PA video together. Will up it tomorrow night or Saturday... Got quite into it actually - collected all audio records of the LONG PA - including the 1996-07-06 DEBUT - which had diffrnt lyrics too!

See your point, you'd have missed out on the rest of the album then though.
