Back in the mid 90s it was really common for emo bands to have two lead singers/guitarists. It was a tradition kind of started by Fugazi. On JEW's first record Tom sang lead for 5 or 6 songs. I like his voice.. Its more gruffy and punky sounding, like the guy from Jawbreaker or Ian McKay from Fugazi. But for some reason Jim became the defined lead singer and now Tom never sings.
