  • This would be so much better if it wasn't on Vevo. But still an amazing song.

  • Amazing rhythm and timing, shame the video cant keep in time, lol

  • 2:03 "Fuck yea"

  • god dammit lady gaga I'm trying to enjoy my andy here

  • @aVeryNiceRafael

adblock. if you use firefox use the app finder to get it. oh and get TWEAKTUBE!! LIGHTS OUT

  • all i have to say is jesus fucking christ almighty... the guy is so good he should be administering last rights with that shit... i know i would die happy

  • Andy had played a john petrucci solo called innocence faded.. I too was a fan of both technical electric playing, classical pieces, and acoustics of andy mckee

  • I wish i could play that on my guitar. Very emotional song, nearly made me cry.

  • What's with the Lady Gaga ads on Andy's videos? Don't they know i come to him to escape from that kind of bad music?

  • Producer: How 'bout a drummer Andy?

Andy: Sure... But just take a look at this new song that I wrote. ^^

    Producer: ...

Andy: What was it that you said again? ô.õ

    Producer: Never mind bro... u.u

  • This man is the king of all things instrumental. KING I SAY!

  • I used to be in a death metal band, then i heard andy mckee and many other amazing acoustic guitarists. i'm now doing solo acoustic acts in indianapolis, and i have andy to thank for the inspiration to follow my dream :)

but don't get me wrong, death metal is still badass.

  • @MrYoureAdouche Andy would obviously understand. He's a metalhead too. XD

You should see his cover of the solo in Dream Theater's Innocence Faded. Perfect, I tell you.

  • @artcellrox That's what i hear! haha i saw an interview where andy admitted he listened to a lot of metal before he played acoustic. and i wouldn't doubt andy is capable of playing a john petrucci solo, andy is god.

  • These fucking advertisements offend the shit out of me when im trying to escape to a better place. Jesus Christ!!! sorry for the language

  • hes like playin 4 parts at once

  • One of the greatest demonstrations of talent on youtube.

  • This is what August Rush Thought he was doing

  • He doesn't even break a sweat. damn he is good!

  • flat cadd9?

  • whats the tuning?

  • @Julyfirewater DADGAD

  • @redxile666 Wrong, that's Drifting's tuning. @Julyfirewater It's EbAbDbGbBbEb

  • @Julyfirewater the tuning for this song is CGDFA#D.

  • @chrisgibson92 Thanks man

  • @Julyfirewater whats that other guy thinking, right?

  • Holy shit man

  • This is something that Antoine should play.

It really sounds like his style too, if you don't look at the video. Amazing work.

  • Andy Made me waste half of my life trying to learn this.... now i had learnd it, i realised that he plays it better than me...... close enough? ¬¬

  • damn. mckee is absolutely amazing. i doubt if i practiced the rest of my life i would be able to play any of his songs. it's truly incredible.

  • @irisheric3 Anyone can play one of Andy's songs with dedicated practice. The true genius of Andy is the fact he wrote them.

  • Your work is amazing and progressive time and time again, and this is no exception. (Damn!)

  • Looks easier than drifting... at least the first bit does at least. The only difficult bit is the rhythm. :) I'm tempted to learn. Perhaps after art of motion.

  • @jluvsmetal Don't. Trust me, I've tried. Andy even said it himself on a Reddit AMA that, of all the songs in his career, "from a technical point of view [...] Hunter's Moon was a bit of an accomplishment". Plus, he also said he finds it the most challenging to play.

    Still wanna try? ;)

  • impossible !

  • my face --> O__O

  • I think something crazy would be for him to compose a song that requires you to change tuning while you continue to play. I really think thats one of the cooler ideas I've had in a while.

  • @fushiarabbit Newton Faulkner does that.

  • @fushiarabbit Since you're interested, this guy: /watch?v=aY4Ra2KOyas&feature=related

  • imagine this high -_______- chilled to fwock.

  • Pino is better!

  • If you listen close you can hear the sound of thousands of people throwing away their guitars with a single tear rolling down their cheek

  • chuck norris wrote this

  • even chuck norris bowed down to this

  • wow this just makes me want to quit guitar.

  • Dude his AMA on reddit today made my fuckin day.

  • reddit

  • Seriously...just bow down, acoustic guitar playing doesn't get anymore amazing than this

  • Whats going on with his bridge and frets! :O

  • @MrBlaZeAdOoBiE Some guitars are made with slanted frets in an effort to create intonation that is less flawed. That's how I understand it anyway.

Oh looks like Andy himself explains this in another video. Type in "Fanned Frets" and you'll probably find it

  • IAmA person who came here from reddit

  • :D

  • Smile for the screenshots Reddit.

  • Absolutely amazing guitar player. But, I would rather listen to Nirvana. God I'm terrible. *Trolling not intended.*

  • I love the shot at 1:21. Makes you realise that it's still just a single man playing this.

  • We went as whole family to see this guy play!

  • Every one of his video should have 'Betcha Can't Play This' in the title.

  • his use of harmonics is otherworldly...i just cant comprehend how he plays them so quickly, its just incredible

  • Everyone there is this guy on youtube called @Ceevro and he is teaching this very song!

I found him yesterday and yes one of his videos had to get re-uploaded, since the audio was off time with the video, but I asked him to sort it out and he did all that and finished all lessons! So please if you want to learn this song go to his channel and start with the edited video lesson, like I said the other one is broken. Thumbs up so others can see!

I said all this as a favour he asked of me! ^_^

  • foot guitar by Blake McMurray sounds very similar to Hunter's Moon. Blake's doing it right. having Andy Mckee as one of his main influences.

  • Comment removed

  • the frets are angled...? someone please educate me

  • @voidsignal Multi scale. So the intonation is right everywhere on the neck for every string

  • Andy McKee... The only man that can play guitar standing up. Strapless.

  • @icallgreens He is wearing a strap lol

  • Wow, the reason it says 8 people can't play this is because he noticed 8 people disliked it. So stop flaming about it in the comments

  • Can't stop listen..

  • Andy...your the man!!!

  • what tuning is this?

  • @Stankiewicz3403 DADGAD

Tune every down, don't go up.

It's always some open Tuning with this guy.

  • I could probably play this...If i had two extra hands and another brain...

  • who can dislike this?

  • Andy McKee with his guitar puts Master Chief with a gravity hammer to shame.

  • I just stopped playing guitar.. Nobody can be as good..

  • @BlackTulps dude. someone else being better than you is no reason to quit. i'm in a tough spot looking for stuff to learn, meanwhile i'm surrounded by people who can improvise the coolest stuff. i'm still playing though

  • 8 people can´t play this...

  • @alanpastor90 pretty sure its a lot more than that buddy

  • @clehmanj hahaha it sure is :)

  • @alanpastor90 probably about 7 Billion people can't play this. :P

  • @alanpastor90 Haha. =D There are plenty more ppl who can't play this, I assure you. Still, I favourite this video.

  • @alanpastor90 Actually, far more than 8.

  • @alanpastor90 Actually 8 people can play this. What you think its a easy song to play!?

  • @alanpastor90 I doubt 2,341 people can play this.

  • @alanpastor90 umm i bet a lot of people can't play this.....

  • @alanpastor90 374,379 people can't play this.

  • @sleibhin325 no shit, you ruined his joke

  • @KLAANITSIJA hahaha ;)

  • @KLAANITSIJA Ah....damn it.

  • @sleibhin325 I'll give you a mathematical formula for the amount of people who can't play this:

    # people who can't play this = # people on earth - # Andy McKee's

    You're welcome.

  • @sleibhin325 hey i can't??? i can -.-''

  • @alanpastor90 Trust me dude... most of us can't play this.

  • @alanpastor90 I'd say quite a bit more actually

  • @alanpastor90 2,431 people can't play this, but 8 are just bitter about it.

  • @alanpastor90 actually in all reality, probably only like 8 people CAN play it! Andy is phenomenal!

  • @alanpastor90 uhh, a shitload more than that can't play this.

  • @TheCaveDevil Captain Obvious, nice to meet you.

  • @alanpastor90 LOL ?

  • 2:15 eargasm

  • seems like 7 Justin Beiber fans watched this video

  • awesome !

  • Imagine if he had 4 hands..

  • Is it just me or does that guitar's neck look a little off?

  • @aznguy1999 It's a Greenfield guitar the frets and the bridge are slanted on purpose for something about the tuning and tension of the strings I'm not exactly sure.

  • @aznguy1999 Fanned frets are usually made for more ergonomic playing experience.

  • @aznguy1999 its a multi scale FB

  • @aznguy1999 Andy is using a Greenfield guitar and he had his customized to use a Fan-Fret system. Fanned Fret guitars provide an ergonomic design in playing and also allows the guitar to maintain perfect tuning throughout the entire fretboard (Regular "Straight" Fretboards dont have this). Next time you pick up your guitar, tune your guitar to standard as close as possible. Now in theory, your E should sound A on the 5th fret. On the 10th fret it should also sound D, but it is off slightly.

  • @JcWongAndCompany Holy shit, that's genius! :D

Of course, being slanted like that, don't the finger formations get a little awkward?

  • @artcellrox According to Andy, Don Ross, and other guitarists who use Fanned Fret acoustics, they say that there's hardly a difference in the feel. They even say if you just picked one up, you would just play as it was straight. I looked at the dimensions and there's not much of a difference at all. Also I hear it's much easier on the hands so you would probably get a better feel on your form along with tone. I only wish big brands utilize this.

  • @JcWongAndCompany Big brand acoustic company's use it. Such as Taylor and Breedlove. You just have to look.

  • @aznguy1999 Cont. This also explains why whenever you capo your guitar (that is originally tuned already), it is slightly out of tune after you capo it at around 4+

  • I see "Drifting" but I hear "Tight Trite Nite".

  • where's the drum cover?

  • la luna del cachatore

  • you need more exercise

  • simply amazing

  • i would chop my dick and balls off just for that fucking guitar. I actually don't even know if i would really do it. Those guitar take 3 fucking years to get. shit..

  • OH he's just doing upside down natrual harmonix, nothing too hard. lmao

  • I'm not gay but......

  • @hank61234 stfu fag

  • /watch?v=RdFeivLYZ1A

  • Drifting 2

  • I challenge anyone to make the tablature for this song.

  • @LCToretto I can send it to you :-)

  • @totomusic47 with hand tap and shit? you are pretty good man

  • @LCToretto I wrote it in 3 tracks : guitar, right hand tap, and left hand tap.

  • soooo.... i got mind fucked.

  • BREAKING NEWS!!!!! Andy McKee, to star in ",Tenacious D: 3D McKee!!!" =D

  • one of the few dudes who really deserves some fame and recognition.

  • Why drum's and piano exist? He can play both on guitar.

  • This music he creates, that's a perfect background music, for a school project, or something like that.

  • @Christofferjuul I used Drifting for one of my projects xD

  • phenomenal

  • como se afina isso? hehehehe

  • alguien sabe como se llama ese tipo de guitarra??? me gusto mucho el modelo XD

  • @dargaunt creo que es un "fan guitar"

  • @dapperslapper Agreed, still awesome playing though. Send in Don Ross to play a lead.

  • ladies and gentlemen i bring you the messiah of guitars...ANDY MCKEE!!

  • @dapperslapper actually, i somewhat agree with you. this isn't exactly the kind of song that i would listen to over and over again like i would with drifting, but it is also one of the most incredible pieces of guitar music ever written. the technical aspect of this song amazes me every time i watch it, yet its missing a good melody.

  • @postcanyonbike well is not as catchier as Drifting, maybe you need to listen to this one more times to actually get it, and it has a GREAT melody, specially on 2:17 for example, Drifting is like going for a ride in a Ferrari, I see this song more like the mother of all roller coasters.

  • cheers to the director of this one :)

  • He looks like a ninja at the very end.

  • Andy's facial expressions when he's playing are brilliant! :D Loving the look at 0:57 and 1:01 !

  • At the start of this song I thought "here we go another Typical Andy McKee song" but buy the first harmonics I was already smiling. So I guess I was right It is just another typical Andy McKee song, because all Andy McKee songs are... Amazing.

  • This needs 10 millions views

  • @metalliholic More? yeah I think more. At least more than Justin Bieber

  • My name's Hunter, so all ya'll gotta back off. This moon is MINE

  • How do you tab this?!

  • This is still awsome, even with the lady fishface in the background trying to creep up on him.

  • Andy keep making that beautiful music dude

  • Wow is right! How can someone dislike this??????

    Awesome!!!

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!

  • Anybody else air-guitar "play" their guitar with Andy in the headphones? I can't be the only one!

  • @cyclesomewhere omg! i do that too! xDD

  • @cyclesomewhere no. at first i just cry for a bit, and once i'm fine-with-being-far-less-than-even-remotely-close-to-amazing, i unwind and begin to enjoy it. ;)

  • Does this man not have any limits? Amazing <3 x

  • andy mckee watching his guitar is like god watching over life

  • @Liton777 but God only screws up

time after time after time after time after time after time after time after time after time after time after time after time after time
