Jodie Meeks probably would beat him one on one because he's bigger, stronger, and more athletic. But that doesn't mean he'll be a better NBA player. I wouldn't mind too much 'cause I'm a Bucks fan so it'd be nice to see one of our draft picks actually turn out good. Meeks has a lot of talent but Curry could be a deadeye shooter in the league for a long time. For all we know, Meeks might be gone in 5 years. You're right, but basketball is a team sport. 1 on 1 basketball is just about pride.

OK, Curry is a great shooter, I don't deny that. Potentially could be a go to in the clutch shooter off the bench. But as you say about Meeks, Curry could be gone in 5 years too. I don't know, though, they might both be gone in 1 year, and I wish them both the best.

28.4 PPG 5.8 APG 2.6 SPG honestly seems like he should go 1st overall though if its the Kings picking 1st they wouldnt need a SG since they got Kevin Martin who's a scoring SG, but Stephen Curry definetly should be a top 3 in my opinion. NBA teams are worried that his game won't fit the NBA as well as it does the NCAA, which is true. He's a great player but the staple of his game is his jumpshooting and pure shooters never do as good in the NBA as they do in college. Look at guys like Reddick. Curry is great but he's not big enough to be a shooting guard in the NBA and hasn't proven completely that he can be a PG at the next level either. I think he'll be a great player though no matter where he goes in the draft.

I see what your saying, but its just weird that he wouldn't be like a top 3 pick. Like what really is the difference between NCAA and NBA though? cause i mean all the players in the NBA came from the NCAA anways well except some from other countries. Really sucks that JJ Reddick and Adam Morrison so far haven't done much in the NBA yet in the NCAA there were top scorers.

It's 'cause the style of the game is so different. The college game is based on team motion and players following their coaches' systems. The NBA is much more about individual talent. The fact of the matter is that Stephen Curry won't be popping off screens like he is in college when he gets to the pros, it's all about isolation and pick and roll sets there. He's not incredibly athletic and doesn't get much lift on his shot, it will be tough. Trust me, the differences are monumental.

Oh i see. It really sucks though he's the top scorer in NCAA, but in the NBA as most people are saying he wont do much. I was looking over Dwayne Wade's college stats based on them i wouldnt of imagined he'd be scoring 29 in the NBA since he only was scoring i think it was 17 in NCAA, but i guess he just developed really well even though im sure tons of people outscored him in NCAA then.

Well Dwyane Wade is so much more athletic than Stephen Curry and their games are so different. Wade gets by on athleticism, smooth moves and unstoppable drives to the basket. Curry is all about the jumpshot. He can penetrate a bit, but that is because teams have to play up on him so tight. His jumper won't be nearly as effective in the NBA because he doesn't release it very high (Compare to McGrady's) and because with a 24 second shot clock instead of 35, shooters have less time to get open.

Oh i never knew it was 35 seconds in NCAA i guess i never paid attention to that and i dont really watch it often at all. What do you expect Curry to average in the NBA at his prime? 14PPG?

Maybe. I'd say at his best he'll be a Steve Kerr like player. He has to improve his defense to even get playing time, but if he becomes at least competent at that end of the floor then his jumpshooting will still earn him playing time. An old truth about basketball is that at any level, on any team, you have to have shooters. Put Curry on the Lakers, Cavs, Spurs, or Rockets and he could average 10-15 / game. But if he's somewhere where he has to do stuff besides catch and shoot... idk...

Oh well thanks for the info. He seems pretty good defensively 2.6 SPG obviously steals aren't everything, but he's really good at it atleast at the college level.

no stephen thomas ur dumb they showed there stats and compared them and seth averages like .4 more pts per game than stephen and hes not even in D1 stephen is and plays against teams like ucla north carolina and duke wensday so stephen is a lot better

whoever has bigger size will be who nba scouts project higher in their respective drafts. thats just the way nba scouts are...i personally dont agree that an inch here and there really matters, look at iverson and chris paul. either way both brothers are great, seth is a lil bigger i think tho.

Probably my new favorite video on youtube. Every time I watch, the music and just seeing Steph Curry's beautiful stroke makes me grab my shoes and ball and head over to the local courts. First comment? Very nice short video you put together. Great use of game clips along with the thing that CBS ran about him. The music sounded really sad, which I thought at first was a bit off, but I guess it's not so much sad as much as it is calming. I could sit and watch this video for like an hour and just have the audio playing while I did something else. Very nice work, I mean that.
