More like confused vulnerable women crammed into a useless profession that provides no value to society. A profession riddled with eating disorders and one that creates yet another harmful unrealistic depiction of the female figure.

Umm maybe for you thats what it is. But its not about being professional its about doing what you want and getting past the road blocks which these girls have had there fair share of. And its not riddled with eating disorders infact coaches can tell when a gymnast is anorexic or bulimic and they get benched for it

And contrary to what you think focusing on something or in this case a sport makes you less vulnerable and confused because you're more sure of what you want.

Not a profession, more of a totaly awesome SPORT that I feel lucky to be a part of for four years now. We train hard because we love it with a passion you obviosly will never understand.

My daughter was a high level gymnast. she graduated summa cum laude while doing gymnastics in college-& went on for her master's in nutrition where she now works at THE premiere hospital in our state.she learned discipline,goal setting, teamwork,sportsmanship,& organizational skills.she did not have an eating disorder &is a responsible,lovely woman.she's what usually results from participation in this sport.there are those in nearly any sport who may develop mental afflictions,not just in this1
