@thequeenundisputed well since you need your eyes at 2 locations at the same time, you just stop looking all together, try and look at a band and look at the guitarist, he will not be looking at his guitar :) u only look at it when your still new untill you get the feeling of where everything is.

I play the piano and you have to look at two places at once also so I usually just look at whatever hand is more difficult for me but after I get to know the song I don't have to look at the piano at all to play it so its somewhat similar. It may be different for people who learn with sheet music though, I don't read sheet music so i play by ear.

@SykoSkillz Not necessarily. Kutikinton Fox seems to be better at fuller, 5 - 6 string sweeping, whilst BKMJMBOX loves to hybrid 3 - 4 string sweeps with tapping pull offs and hammerons. Kurikinton likes getting to the point with his productions by keeping it canon with the original, whilst BKMJM adds and enters variations giving room for his own freestyle shreddings - you'll notice the habits and combinations of his play if you listen to it long enough.

Just don't compare. Comparing is fail.

@Nazareeni Yeah, but I think that, if he could, Kurikinton would have showed off his own freestyle skills during his solo, whereas BKM spends alot more time on his work but still manages to ace the song anyway. That's what I enjoy after hearing a song, a version which is pulled and twisted in so many ways but still manages to keep the theme of the song with the rythm and bass aspect.

I believe - no, I know the Fox can drizzle a stuctural mind blowing solo or even mindlessly shred like some virtuoso if he wanted to, but he doesn't roll that way. Notice every solo - no - every note he plays is planned out. This is what makes Kurikinton awesome as well in my books. He's a perfectionist, but he does it with ease & non-chalance. And the pieces remain tact. Not many others do that.

I do enjoy Kurikintons style as, like you said, every note is planned out but I also enjoy the scale changes in BKM's videos, although I do appreciate the fact that his solos are just a mass of notes which are connected by the first and last note of said solo. I just enjoy listening to the way other people percieve music and are able to adapt it.

@SykoSkillz I also noticed the connected mass of notes point you said about BKM, and it's impressive feat to hear and watch. My only gripe is, for me, as listening to many virtuoso compositions, it gets old fast listening to an intense solo with nothing but semiquavers to 32nd notes. Certainly is an achievement to play but people ears adapt to what they love listening to, which is another point I'll make about Fox. He has that J-rock / J-pop influence harmony going on with his music. Love it.
