  • The audio on this video is not really the best. But good to know. She's a good vocalist, she has a unique voice. I love her.

  • @cazeterow

    How??

  • @calvin9999999999 Some of the songs you used here sound different or maybe you added some effects, didn't you?

  • @cazeterow

only the intros for each register are pitch shifted (on purpose).

  • Ri's vocals on "Fool In Love" really impressed me I must say. She's come a long way.

    Nice video :)

  • @Slaychelle

Yeah I love the vulnerability she displays. Very emotive. My fav song.

  • Rihanna's best album to me is Loud, this one is way to sexual for my tastes, except we found love, thats my ish!!. But i think her voice has developed more, and she gets closer to being that Black Madonna. In america she is coming for some of Mariah's achievments, so she's got something.

  • @applmac2009

Yes I do love Loud, I don't think TTT is better, I think they are just as good as each other. I think to do better, she needs to take a year out and get inspired again.

  • @applmac2009 The difference with Madonna was that she dressed like a slut to make political/social statements, whereas Rihanna does just it to be sexy and controversial. But I agree about Loud being better. I felt as if RiRi was trying too hard this time. Loads of the songs have 'ghetto' sounding titles ('You Da One" "Do Ya Thing"..) and are about sex.

  • @BigBlyeEyes1234 Ghetto is an offensive term often given to things that sound African American or Black. So don't use that terminology Rihanna dresses like she does to express herself. Ever since her and Chris split she has never been the same. I never knew Madonna dressed like a whore to make a statement. That sounds counterintuitive. Both Madonna and Rihanna have the same problem to me. They use sex to sell copies, instead of a true talent.

  • @applmac2009 Firstly, I will use whatever language I please, whether you find it offensive or not. Secondly, I didn't use the word 'ghetto' in reference to black people; I said it in the context of Rihanna trying to act gangsta and appeal to the woman and the guys. Lastly, Madonna was artistic about it. Rihanna dresses like she does just to cause drama and get attention which = money.

  • @BigBlyeEyes1234 u can use that word with whomever u like, but i take offense to it, so i asked u not to use it. I refuse to comment further on Madonna, because i don't like her. So my comments may be biased, and start a flame war. But in all honesty, poltical context or not both Rihanna and Madonna used sex to gain popularity and money. :)

  • You're back!!! I love this video & album! She is amazing! :)

  • I dont know why everyone is ranting about her vocal skill so much. She is a nice singer. End of, not a bad singer, not a great singer just a nice singer - whats so wrong with that?

  • @Dam112 @TheTomimomi455

Thanks. Yes Dam, that's it exactly. People need to stop hating.

  • @calvin9999999999 Exsactly, she doesnt even mildly make out to be a 'vocalist' she knows her limitations, her own weaknesses/strengths. I think she has real nice 4th octave belts & I love some of her C5s. But she loves music, she has a nack for giving a song great energy & having anoyingly catchy beats she also puts on good performances, and her videos are always superb (especially 'We Found Love').. Credit where credit is due IMO. A nice singer but still great artist

  • @Dam112

    Well said. lol.

  • Rihanna isn't a skilled vocalist, that's obvious. But I like her tone and her enjoy her music nonetheless, her work post GGGB has been especially great. Anyways, I really liked TTT.. a lot of sex songs haha, but the songs had a great production and were unique. Good vid :)

  • @MimiDahhling30

Thanks. Exactly, that's what I think too.

  • Good music, bad vocalist. PERIOD.

  • We all know Rih cans ing stop hatin shes young and doing something positive with her life can you all say the same? im just saying

  • I'm not being "too harsh on Rihanna". I'm realistic. I enjoyed her music since "Pon de Replay" to "You da one", but let's face it people, she's not good at live singing. Proof of that is, none of her live performances were good vocally speaking. I've seen TONS of performances and all turn into big disappointment.

She's a "studio singer". If you don't want to see this, that's okay. I'm not blind. Well, not deaf.

  • @Hugonzalezzz

Most artists are studio singers. Very few singers replicate their studio vocal. CKB on American Idol proves she can sing live.

  • Love this album! Glad to see you making videos again too! Really great video. :)

  • @envoirment

    thanks :)

  • Don't know about her vocals. In studio she sounds fine, but live.. it's not he same.

    I don't think she's doing those D5 and Eb5 live.

  • @Hugonzalezzz have you not seen her live lately? she sounds the same live n in the studio

  • @Hugonzalezzz

I've seen her live 3 times and she was great. I met her too!

  • love the video, her vocals were great here, alot of improvement in the belts, wish she showed more range in her lower register/falsetto on the album.

  • Nice Vid :)

  • @Dam112

    Thanks.

  • Loves the video! Glad she started hitting D5 belts, hadn't got one of those from her in a while. Good vid!

  • @VaunTV

I think D5 is her best note on this album. Thanks.

  • @calvin9999999999 Agreed!

  • Calvin, I've lost a great deal of respect for you for crediting RiHo as a vocalist. She can't sing.

  • @MCsuperChristina

Well you like Christina so I'm not surprised you don't like Rihanna. And that is your opinion that she can't sing, however the fact is, that she actually can.

  • @calvin9999999999 I find it interesting that you think Riho is better than Christina. Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard.

  • @MCsuperChristina

Christina has had only 1 number single in 10 years. Rihanna has had 11 in 5 years. Christina's voice isn't exactly too great now anyway.

  • @calvin9999999999 Popularity is does not represent talent. The sad fact is that people don't make music from the heart. They make what people like. Rihanna gets good press. Christina doesn't because of Lady Marmalade and Dirrty. Rihanna is well marketed, Christina isn't. That is why she's doing well right now. You should watch Christina sing 'smile' on the MJ concert., or 'Lift Me Up' on Haiti, or 'Bound to You' on Jay Leno before you even attempt to put that talentless hoe on a higher pedestal.

  • @MCsuperChristina

II disagree. Christina's Bionic was well marketed in the US, the live promo was extensive, but no one bought the music because no one liked it. You only pick out the positive for Christina, true fans notice the negative as well and aren't consumed by obsessiveness. Christina was awful on The Today Show/Early Show/Storytellers. She couldn't even get the E5s out in You Lost Me. Rihanna doesn't push and strain, Christina does. Fact.

  • @calvin9999999999 Like i said, popularity is not about talent. Xtina doesn't do music that she thinks people like, she does what she wants. I noticed the drop in quality on those shows you listed. But she still owns Rihanna on them. I'd like to see Rihanna 'belt' live. I don't understand how you can listen to Mariah, Christina, Leona, Beyonce and then tell me Rihanna is good. I sub to you, I've watched a lot of your videos. I've noticed u don't have to justify any of ur others - not just to me.

  • @calvin9999999999

xtina's music is NOWHERE as commercial as rihanna's

and her voice may not be the same but she's still MILES AHEAD of riri

and besides hopefully her voice lessons will restore of her range

  • @calvin9999999999 sorry to barge in on this but what does liking xtina have to do with rihanna? other than rihanna allegedly laughing at xtina at the grammys.

  • @ablackguy123456789

Not many people like Rihanna AND Christina. Just like not many like Christina AND Mariah, or Whitney AND Mariah.

  • @calvin9999999999 ohhhhh ok. makes sense lol

  • @calvin9999999999 I don't know. Quite a few people like Mariah and Whitney as they are similarly talented.

    Great video, by the way!

  • @calvin9999999999 Hey, I love Christina Aguilera, but I gotta admit that Rihanna has got plenty of great vocals in this album. Those C5's of "Where Have You Been?" are incredible and she's showed something of her good upper chest register. Moreover, she's really starting to sing at live. So, as you said, this video shows us she actually can.

  • and great vid. i love when videos are made simple ratehr than too much effects and shit. i prefer like this cause it makes the vids classy :P idk why rihanna started to show nice vocals on her last 2 albums... :P cause she has a name of someone that cant sing for shit..

  • @iiAmitx3

I know. She can actually sing, people just don't give her credit. Russian Roulette, CKB, Hate that I Love You, Man Down, Farewell, Fool In Love, Te Amo are great examples.

  • @calvin9999999999 she can sing, but she needs alot of work and polishing. I don't think she is the best live singer though.

  • @Mcvideos92

She is an entertainer, not a vocalist.

  • @calvin9999999999

    she aint an entertainer

she walks around on stage like a model

    with mediocre vocals

BUT i ADORE her music and STUDIO vocals

    but she aint no entertainer...

  • @greatmusic1001

She is an entertainer. You are either a vocalist or entertainer. Ri is the latter.

  • @calvin9999999999

    NO.

    Rihanna is NEITHER

her vocals are mediocre or complete crap aside from the RARE good vocal

and she don't dance and she has no stage presence

she's stiff...all she does is walk or run around the stage...

  • @calvin9999999999

She's not really that much of an entertainer, either. I think the reason she gets, what you call harsh criticism is the fact that her music is a representation of what talent has become; bland, boring, repetitive and uninspiring. Then again it is just an opinion, don't mind me. Good video.

  • @EmbracetheButterfly

Well, I've seen her in concert three times and she entertained me! If her music was bland, boring and repetitive, as you say, then people wouldn't buy her records. Her music is like no else's in the chart. Who else does what Rihanna does? That's why she is dominating world charts right now.

  • @calvin9999999999 Of course, I did say it was my opinion. But I wouldn't say her music was anything unique or different from the current music on the charts.

  • @EmbracetheButterfly

I do. No one else is combing reggae and dancehall with R&B and dubstep.

  • i like her belting regiester only xD

  • I'm sorry, I can't take Rihanna seriously as a vocalist.

She has a unique voice, but really theres no emotion or depth in it.

  • @Mcvideos92

    Farewell? Fool In Love?

  • im so disappointed with this album :/ Nothing lyrically on rated R or musically on loud! Love you da one- quite mariah-ey! :D Saturdays's new album is better! But of course great video x

  • Finaly a new video \o/\o/ I like this, I love Rihanna. I know she can so much, but this album isn't only Eb5 like Loud. I want a new Rihanna's A5!!!

  • @MighOllih

    A5?! lol

  • @calvin9999999999 Yeah, A5 hahaha', she has a A5 in Falsetto, I think you know! Is a clear and beauty note!

The video is wonderful, I missed your videos, and I'm waiting more and more!!!

  • @MighOllih

Yeah, I wish she would do it more often.

  • @MighOllih and thanks! lol

  • I really like this album!

I think it's probably her best!

I think alot of people are unfair to Rihanna. No she isn't the best singer but she isn't as bad as everyone says!

I love Where Have You Been!!!

    Great Video!

  • @TheVocalPower

Thanks. I love Where Have You Been, You Da One, Farewell and Fool In Love.

  • @calvin9999999999 HIIIIIIIIII!!!!

  • @TheMCLamb4ever

    hey! lol

  • @calvin9999999999 AWESOME vid! thank you! :D

  • @TheMCLamb4ever

    Thanks :)

  • @calvin9999999999 oh and one song that comes to mind when i think of bee showcasing her vocals is Resentment!

  • @TheMCLamb4ever

    lol okay.

  • calvin9999999999, are you going to make a video of Beyonce "Live At Roseland"??

  • @mastercsikc

Maybe, I hadn't thought of it. The copyrights will probably be very strict on that though.

  • @calvin9999999999 okie, i just want to ask, did Bee hit D6 or above when she sang Crazy In love?? That one "Did the love make you crazy?" the note sounds really high!

  • @mastercsikc

    Probably as an exclamation, yes.

  • @calvin9999999999 does that meen she could prob hit it !?

  • @beyonceboy100

    Hit what?

  • LOL.

    Good vid though :)

  • @Stefano94x

    Why "LOL" ?

  • @calvin9999999999 Because she is the apotheosis of mediocrity and lack of talent lol

  • @Stefano94x

People are too harsh on Rihanna. People are jealous of what she has achieved by the age of 23. No one else makes music like she does, blending reggae and dancehall with R&B and pop to make it popular. She has a unique tone and has an effortless vibrato. No, she doesn't have a voice like Mariah Carey or Beyonce, but if everyone was like them, then there would be no variety. But, with people like you, you only see what you want to see, so...

  • @calvin9999999999 She may have some technique, but her intonation is just not good and her voice itself is extremely limited.

I don't care about achievements and sales. They mean absolutely nothing.

  • @Stefano94x

I love her sound and tone. Have you actually listened to this album? She changes her what she sounds like so many times. She has a very good vibrato, but no one gives recognition for it, it's effortless. To be honest, I don't think she is given songs which fully showcase her vocals. I know that she is not 100% about showcasing vocals (Mariah, Whitney, Celine) but she can sing. Take a Bow, Hate That I Love You (Great sustained C5 with vibrato), CKB, Russian Roulette, Farewell. etc.

  • @Stefano94x

I've seen her twice on the Loud Tour in the past 6 weeks, and I met her last week, and she can really sing. When she sang Love the Way You Lie Pt. II, she was singing it as if it was the last thing she was going to do. She sang the hell out of it. But I think it's unfair for people to say that she can't sing, the songs I just gave you are clear examples that she can.

  • @calvin9999999999 i love your support for rihanna, she gets alot of unwarranted flack by people questioning her vocal talent, if people would dig further they would see she does have songs that showcase her vocal talent

  • @islandlife89

    Thanks :)

  • @calvin9999999999 I've not listened to THIS album specifically, but I've listened to many songs of hers (including some of the ones you named as examples of vocal talent) and I actually said her technique is decent. But her intonation is still a mess.

Beauty of sound is all up to personal opinion. It has no relevance when it comes to judging the skill/greatness of a singer.

  • @calvin9999999999 preach!!!
