Scandal plagued Congressman Don Young (R-AK) -- infamous for his "bridge to nowhere" and, most recently, for securing a $10 million earmark for a road in Florida to benefit a campaign contributor -- took to the House floor late last night to proclaim he was "proud" of his earmarks.
Is he trying to say that the scientist's prediction was wrong - that there is NOT mass starvation in the world? He needs a ticket to Sub-Saharan Africa. Ignorance abounds. Not just in the Republican USA - we have lots of that "I'm OK Jack" attitude in Canada too.
