Flux: you have asked and answered your own questions. US employers don't want their employees to have ANY rights. This is why employers do not want universal health care. If employees have their health care, they (obviously) don't need it from their employers. Nationlonalized health care would take a huge bargaining chip away from employers. Which inturn means employees have more freedom to change jobs.
