The project was code named “B908” (Bridge between U.S. and ISUZU, 90-day study, and 8-cylinders). This would be the first V8 Diesel engine ISUZU ever designed for the U.S. HD pick-up market. ISUZU was responsible for the base engine design and GM was responsible for the integration of the engine into the vehicle.
LB7 injectors are gravy money. Get the Snap-on 19mm flare nut extended socket for the fuel lines and a 3 inch 5mm ball hex bit for the valve covers and life is good.
For people that want to go on about the gloves, He does it as not to stain his hands most likely, I mean when you get diesel oil on you it takes weeks to get it washed out. And studpuppy, My grandfather who is 79 years old has worked on cars his whole life and is as healthy as most 45 year olds and he didn't wear rubber gloves!

That's why you avoid getting it on your skin and wash your hands if you come in contact. 2nd, this is too much work what a cramped engine compartment! Geesh why don't they just put a straight 6 cylinder in there, Ford included.

@sgtrock68 Yes, oil does comes from the Earth...so does Asbestos, my uncle died from long term exposure to it. Everything on Earth comes from the Earth, it doesn't mean it's safe. The truth is that some people just don't get cancer. It's all in the genes you were born with.
@Gregs327 This repair typically requires about 5 hours to complete, there is a couple of items that we like to do along with this and they are to replace the factory fuel filter, and install a second fuel filter to help protect the injectors from contamination.
