  • While I appreciate that 1/4 reps can be a good addition to a leg routine, and also that that's one hell of a lot of weight.... Nobody cares how much you can 1/4 rep press!

  • Comment removed

  • there are 2 things beoing possible:

    -he's a big whoosie

-he's doing it at half of ROM with a goal, for example the upper half of the quads...

  • lame leg press

but dosnt mean this guy aint dope. hes dope. one of my favs actually

  • it would be scary chillin under that machine even with the lever thing down with all that weight on

  • look at this sneaky marketing strategy,,,, smfh

  • quarter reps good job NOT

  • 0:39 lollllll

  • i swear this is just to advertise the sytha-6 protein shake because the perfectly get up close to the product right after brandon was done with his leg pressing but still brandon is my idol

  • And this is why Curry's legs suck.

  • Comment removed

  • Ewww he looks like a f*cking ape!

  • this ROM isolates the quads more I believe in full range of motion but sometimes I do leg press like this too

  • Shit ROM.

  • He didn't even do full ROM. Maybe that's why his upperbody is 7x bigger than his lower.

  • @shellz1221 Shut the fuck up, add 2-4 plates on what you normally do and you try full rom leg presses for 20 reps? Fucking moron.

  • @Rabbiti6 fuck you bro, i'd rather do half, even a quarter of the weight he's doing so i can do full ROM then do that shit

  • @shellz1221 We are total bros.

  • @shellz1221 i dont do full rom and my legs are bigger then my upper body doesn't matter just got to stimulate the muscle and eat and let genetics do its job

  • he wasnt even drinking it xD

  • @southoreast ...maybe I didnt have the sound turned up high enough but I didnt hear them mention anything about quads and theres nothing in the description. I mean I would have been amazed if he had gone through the full range of motion

  • a lot of weight and about 3 inches of movement on the slide...had he come to his chest i'd have been stoked. Having been educated in weight training and been involved in bodybuilding for more than 6 years now i'm pretty confident in my comment that he'd have gotten more work for his quads from squatting or from reducing the weight on the slide and making a full motion.

  • @toddsmash Exactly. So since you know that his mainemphasis was the quads, then whats with the "had he come down to his chest, Id have been stoked" comment?

  • a lot of weight and about 3 inches of movement on the slide...had he come to his chest i'd have been stocked

  • @toddsmash

i'd like to see you press 1600 lbs 20 times. you can't even do half of what brandon curry can do so don't talk.

  • @cbignazty Mate...i never said i could lift 1600lbs...and to be fair...i'll admit that Curry can't really do it either as moving the slide only 2-3 inches doesn't really constitute a full motion no matter how many times you look at it and doesn't really do much at all for any part of your quads, hips or any part of you except maybe your already inflated ego. Curry has a great physique, but not coz of this

however, as this is an open forum, i'll let you ramble on for a bit about how wrong i am.

  • @toddsmash

i apologize for acting like a troll. but the thing is, it's practically impossible to do that with perfect form. neither of us are wrong. yes he should go down more than 3 inches but it's still an insane quad exercise.

  • @cbignazty

Thanks mate. I do appreciate what a lot of people are saying and I couldn't agree with you more. I would love to be able to press even 1000lbs 3 inches. My dodgy knees are on the mend and am back up to 380 kgs for 5 at full motion...and I'm STUFFED at that point. Can't walk for about 10 minutes and going down stairs after the session is murder....but when its like that you know its a good thing.

  • @toddsmash

see i can't leg press that much. i'm 6 foot 3 with long lean legs, so it's harder for me to get that full range of motion.

  • @cbignazty

Don't worry mate...If its any consolation its a lot harder to put muscle on a long lean frame than a short stocky one. I don't think there are too many pro's these days above 6'. Tony Freeman maybe is the tallest at the moment i think...or Joel Stubbs. Most are around 5'8".

Try Rail Road Leg press once a month. 1 plate - 10 reps, 2 plates - 20 reps....all the way up to 10 plates for 100.....then work you way back down. start with as much as you can do. guaranteed growth.

  • @toddsmash another good exercise for growth is FST 7 squats, basically you use a weight you can get a max of 10 reps and do that weight for 7 sets with 30 second break

  • @JordanFlex12 That's going on the legs day this week. Thanks mate. I'll let you know how it goes.

  • you see these guys working hard and obviously jucing and they get very nice bodies

there big and lean and still look human, Then you look at Ronnie coleman and wonder what the fuck is that guy taking and how much . he makes normal Body builders who are still massive look small. wonder what a coleman cycle looks like.

  • I'm watching this to learn. I'm telling you seeing Brandon do it at 1600 or Ronnie do 2100 I see this ain't easy . Respect nothing but for these guys.

  • 0:08 big dick?

  • @teddytheboy4

    dig deep

your mind is in the gutter lol

  • @teddytheboy4 i think he said DIG DEEP...but BIG DICK is funnier so lets go with that hahaha

  • @marineboy 2000

    Hell yea man constantly! Lol.

  • follow this video if you want to develop nothing more than sore knees; worst leg workout of all time!

  • i love it how he is constantly trying to advertise the syntha 6 bottle

  • It is just me or did anyone else noticed he didn't drink from the bottle at the end?

  • @man101234 I didnt think so either.. and its a BSN product.. they prob told him to go sit over there afterwards and 'have a drink'.. but hey, he's got sponsors so ..

  • @man101234 wunder why???

  • @man101234 advertisement?

  • Hey brandon, go grab a copy of dorian yates' blood and guts and learn how to leg press. Your legs suck!!

  • @EGF813 post a video of your legs.

  • strong legs- strong body

  • insane.

  • whats with the shite form? quarter reps

  • @jpadoyle you press 1600

  • @btman2 the most iv ever done is 1232 for 6 with wraps and good technique with a body weight of 149lbs. my point is hes only doin partial reps, should be doin alot better

  • @jpadoyle how much weith is this on kg?700??

  • @AfrikanGod1 727kg, to be honest my mate at the gym done 705kg without wrappa for 6 and they were deep, so deep his ass was liftin of the seated part

  • @jpadoyle Yea my two training partner who are both long time natural did 700kg. Shit is ridiculous but that is after atleast 7 years of solid training

  • @jpadoyle i have a hard time beleving this just bc of your weight but if u actually did good shit

  • @Jokerizbadass Na man, don bs with when comes to gym, only foolin urself.

  • HIs form is horrible. Needs to lighten the weight if hes not going to do a full extention. Not impressed with 20 half reps. Then the syntha 6 bottle looks empty at the end. he wasnt even drinking anything. 100% frontin. and all serious bodybuilders know that syntha 6 is a slow protien and not one the you would take right after working out.

  • @bigplayray09 its an all protein fast and slow

  • @n2rollerblading But when your are on a competition level every meal and nutrient you can get counts. Whey isolates and other higher refined proteins are best for post workout shakes. It has fast protiens in it but at the critical anabolic period of after working out. Your body would abosorb every bit of a faster protein.

  • there's a guy in my gym that used 680 KG of weights on this excersize + 2 men were siting on top and each one is over 80 KG thats 840 KG + this guy is using 720 :P

  • Imagine what would have happened if they didn't rack the weight right

  • lol that syntha6 was empty!! watch his throat when he drinks. just a bsn advertisement

  • @evanhenri1 hahahahah true dat

  • tiny legs!

  • Comment removed

  • this is just to show off. absolutely useless exercise.

  • @JumpDiffusion It helped my legs alot

  • no shit ive got a lot of work to do

  • For anyone thinking this is all that great, yahoo or google - Elite FTS - and go to 'Articles', scroll down the page to the one "Squats: Superior to Leg Presses for Muscle Hypertrophy and Athletic Prowess", and do the math.

  • @Levrone2006 this is bodybuidling not fukin powerlifting

  • @MaddDawg92

That's no the point. Read the article, Jay Cutler (current Mr. Olympia) talks about squats in it and the importance of doing them. That's just a very small segment of the article on the research of leg press compared to squats. Elite FTS has tons of articles related to bodybuilding and several of their athletes are bodybuilders. Main point: don't be a pussy and replace leg press for squats. All it will do is boost your ego, and that's about it.

  • WTF !? Is this the haters convention ? It's true the range is short , maybe too short for a newbie's eye , but is that what counts ? If he's getting bigger with that , hell he could hold the press still , who cares ? Why do u have to be haters ?

  • wow did his calfs look really skinny. most bodybuilding comps wont look at you if your arms are bigger than calfs

  • obviously bodybuilders never heard of a thing called "full range of motion." i guess 3 inches is full range for a guy that is 5'6"?

  • Comment removed

  • @madmanmike2003 fuck up cunt you dont even know what your talking about

  • wrong form

  • What a clown

  • 3 inch reps

  • how much weight can he do on a standing curl?

  • This guy has huge thighs but chicken legs.

  • is he even bending his knees? and his skinny calves make the weights look bigger then they are lol

  • wow, he moves it 4 inches...what bullshit

  • His ROM is so short.. ppl just have to stop focusing on the amount of weight..do it correctly with less weight and better form..no wonder his legs are weak!

  • @namkul Are you an IFBB pro?

  • 00:41

  • Brandon Curry has small legs for a big dude. And Ronnie does 2,300lbs with better form.

  • @theecoteam ronnies the straight up best thats why

  • @fireflourisher808 Hell yeah he is. But Brandon Curry can Deadlift more.

  • @theecoteam i just like ronny cause he's so nice, yet such a fricken beast

  • stop filming his gay ass half rep presses! take off half of those plates and do it right! know wonder he has noodles for legs!

  • @bossman510 u call them noodles!? lol... yeah they where half push's love to see u even do close to that weight with half pushs.

  • @Jigsjigz actually i can press close to that for full reps! and correction his legs are'nt noodles but they are his weak point and every time i see him train legs it pisses me off!

  • Ronnie Coleman makes Brandon Curry look pussy

  • @iCashuu ronnie coleman makes pretty much everyone look pussy lol

  • Strong ROM lol.

  • i heard every 100lbs is like 300lbs of pressure on your joints

  • hes so small

  • @TheKimboslice11 kimbo slice is small

  • hits muscles in diff ways ect ect stop crying plus i doubt NON of u cud even push it up off the rack let alone do that

  • Pressing that much weight is very stressing on the knee joints and having bad form is acceptable, especially at 1600 lbs. for 20 reps. Also, the leg press can be used either as a volumizing or an overload exercise. Lastly, keep in mind that he's probably doing half reps to focus solely on his quads, because hamstrings start engaging when the knee is bent more than 90 degrees. Educate yourself by doing research on bodybuilding, weight training, and nutrition before you comment!

  • @rasredge totally agree with what you said. people just go oh hes doing half reps... love to see them even try that weight.. i guess they dont understand the human body/bone can only take so much weight.

  • @rasredge having bad form is never optimal for growth in bodybuilding. Slinging around that kind of weight is what we call 'power-lifting', not bodybuilding.

  • @rasredge Lets take less weight and full form then?

  • @rasredge tell Dorian Yates that.

  • @Bnice50 Two completely different styles of training, as Curry uses moderate intensity with high volume because he's still considered a beginner/rookie and Yates used high intensity with low volume in his later years; Intensity Vs. Volume. Either way, it's all about stimulating muscle fibers to induce protein synthesis and promote growth.

  • @rasredge Right back at ya!

  • And everybody wonders why Brandon's legs are one of his weakest points compared to the rest of his body...

  • I like Brandon but his leg pressing form is a joke!

    Half reps!

  • I would've liked to have seen full range.

  • Why he aint go full range? VS. doing 40 reps of calf raises. I seen him squat 495lb with ease, what the hell is going on here?

  • man i did 1200 in high school in set that fake short rep shit!!!

  • the short range of movement makes this video disappointing......

  • @MetalDrummer09 Well he could've done 7 or 8 long range movements, but instead he did over 15 short ranged

  • we're looking at future mr o here

  • meh
