Going back 40 years, I've posted this video, "40 years in 3 minutes" which is a music video containing the Beatles' rooftop performance, historical events over the last 40 years (including Pittsburgh sports) and 8mm film antics from the period, all cut tightly to GET BACK and GLASS ONION. Myron was a true legend. He was so unique. I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to hear him broadcast Steeler games. He was so funny.You knew he was very special when he was alive, but I can appreciate him even more now as I realize exactly how special he was.

My fondest memory of Myron... Late Oct 2001. First Mon game in 2 yrs... first mon night game in Heinz. Halloween wknd, 1 month after 9/11. Clarence Clemmons/national anthem on sax. Played the Titans..... and just killed them. I think 37-10. Myron on radio headed to game... said he was scared for his life to walk down on that field. The whole stadium was just electric. I have been a Pittsburgh fan for most of my life. I grew up in Lakewood, Ohio and my Dad took me to all the home games of the Browns. By being me, I went against Dad and starting cheering for The Steelers!!! The Terrible Towel is the greatest thing!!!

me and my dad went to a steelers game when i was 11, and we lost. my dad got so pissed off and was being a dick, and we went to meet myron at a bar about a half mile from the stadium. we waited for an hour, but it was worth it. the faces and voices he made to cheer me up were so funny, and ill never forget this man. he was the voice of our team, and a legend in pittsburgh. RIP Myron, watch over the boys this year.

Myron, you were there calling those games throughout my childhood. To me you were as important as the players themselves. We know you will be watching over hienz field on sundays from the great big press box in the sky. R.I.P. you will be missed. May your legend live on.

All you low IQ Steelers fans would be shocked to learn what Judaism actually teaches jews like Myron Cope to believe about other races. They view all non-jews (goyim) as chattle to be used and abused whenever they wish. The occasional jew such as Cope may be able to cleverly ingratiate himself somehow into a blue-collar environment such as Pittsburgh but believe me that they always remain a slimeball jew no matter where they make their money. Cope and Cosell didn't go by their real jew names.

Myron was the MAN. Two lines From Myron during games that i will never forget. The first was him going nuts during a big steeler game after a big play he screamed "They're going crazy in PGH. They are throwing furniture out the windows!" And the second, and all time best was..

My fondest memory of Myron... Late Oct 2001. First Mon game in 2 yrs... first mon night game in Heinz. Halloween wknd, 1 month after 9/11. Clarence Clemmons/national anthem on sax. Played the Titans..... and just killed them. I think 37-10. Myron on radio headed to game... said he was scared for his life to walk down on that field. The whole stadium was just electric. Forever Steelers..... Forever Myron Cope GOD Bless...

Great video. Myron Cope will always be an icon in Pittsburgh and for Steelers fans around the world. He lived a full and great life doing what he loved most. We should all be so lucky. He will be missed.

I have been a Pittsburgh fan for most of my life. I grew up in Lakewood, Ohio and my Dad took me to all the home games of the Browns. By being me, I went against Dad and starting cheering for The Steelers!!! The Terrible Towel is the greatest thing!!!

me and my dad went to a steelers game when i was 11, and we lost. my dad got so pissed off and was being a dick, and we went to meet myron at a bar about a half mile from the stadium. we waited for an hour, but it was worth it. the faces and voices he made to cheer me up were so funny, and ill never forget this man. he was the voice of our team, and a legend in pittsburgh. RIP Myron, watch over the boys this year.

Man, I just cant believe Myron is gone. I grew up on Myron and Jack Fleming, and their words still echo in my memories, they were undoubtedly the greatest duo of all time! Ill never forget Myron and Jack. Anyone know where a guy could pick up recordings of some of their old Broadcasts?
