Will someone to explain to me what “he died for my sins” means; because if “he” died, it was 2,000 years before my first sin. I honestly don’t get it, it requires double-think, and a time-shift. It requires that I imagine myself to be guilty of another’s misdemeanour 4 thousand years earlier than the killing. I find human sacrifice repulsive. At the moment, you see, I am firmly of the opinion that the religious texts are myth, fantasy and lies, and I chose those words carefully.
This was my grandfather's favorite song. I listen to this song everytime I want to rememeber him and his love. He passed away almost 12 years ago, and this song still makes me cry. <3
@DixiesHottest87 I'm sorry to hear about your Grandfather although remember he's in a place now where he will never be sick again and you will seen him soon =) God bless you and your family
@DixiesHottest87 I could have written your comment! My Grandfather passed away 13 years ago, and I still cry in Church when this song is sung. I can hear his voice everytime.
@dekalija I do the same. We sing it at church at least twice a month, and both times I stand there and just let the tears fall; but there is always a smile on my face when they do.
A time long ago I knew this song and what it meant. Now I look at my life and what I left behind. The drugs the alcohol everything I wasn't I have become yet I know I can come here, to this song, and find a measure of peace.
I wonder if some people are making themselves less worthy by worshipping other things than God.You are worthy to worship only God.Other things is just a waste of time. You have great value in you!!! Worship only the greatest, the highest, The CREATOR,GOD ALMIGHY!!!!!!!!!!!
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.John 14:6 AKJ
at my grandpa's funeral an old farmer sung this song. i was strong until then but i bawled like a baby when he sung this song. still brings tears to my eyes 16 years later.
