i think your bb is good but there are a few things that need to be exposed - first of all is your rigging is way too rigid which in turn gives a very basic walk cycle - the leg design is great and texturing nice - the lighting is over contrast - the transform is too toy like - as we learn from reference in the films design the transform looks cool because the technique is faked - you need a prop car and the half transforming car all fly into the shot as one.

problem is you can see a fault where it turns from car to robot, as one mesh folds inside the new mesh... and the resulting robot dosnt have any of the cars features left, they are just folded away as the robot unfolds... better if the car panels were kept intact more and made a true transition from car to robot rather than just fold inside while the robot folds outside over it

That's awesome! Alot of the other ones on youtube might be more technical in terms of actual transformation, but this one tops them all I think since you actually use a real setting & took the time to add the animation in using After Effects. Bravo!

@beEZbro it are both highend 3d program's the question is what are u going to do with it ? max is very good with game's and is used more offten in game developing.. cinema4d is used for commurcials and stuff but they are both very great for much of things.. but me I love maya ;).. if u are a starter with 3d animation and u also new to programming go for Blender it's free and it have's great tools if u are better then u can choose in 3d highend program's
