  • think you could do a video on how to install nurf bars?

  • Cool

  • Dude you're awesome! I've learned so much by watching your videos. Do you take donations?

  • @kidninja09 Thanks! No donations, but we do appreciate you spreading the word!

  • @motorztv you really refuse donations?

  • @muchogoocho We'd rather you help spread the word about Motorz or buy something in our online store! Thanks :)

  • nick seeems very nerves

  • That stang has zero rust, all the parts come out so easy, how about you bring it to michigan for a few months in the winter and try to work on it then :)

  • can you guy do a show on how to change brakes on a Chevy Tahoe LTZ?

  • Thank you for the video Chris, your videos have helped me saved thousands of dollars in repairing my car and etc.

  • Does ABS still work and does it really decrease stopping distance

  • @wackos90 just an FYI ABS has NEVER decreased stopping distance at all, it clearly says so in every car manual there ever was, including your driver's license manual. it simply makes it so you can keep control and be able to stop AND swerve compared to non abs where you just skid into someone.

  • how bout showing how to install disk brakes on all 4 wheels on the f150?

  • @thejazz1510 Thy is something we will probably do!

  • @motorztv thatll be awesome i want to do that to my f150

  • @motorztv you need to make the video bad i need a video on it too!!!!

  • what about the brake booster if you up the caliper pistons and disc size do you need to put in a bigger brake booster to handle the load

  • hey you can install the calipers at any side of the brake disc right?

  • @boy638 Naw, calipers have a left and a right, rotors are the same though. Some brake pads even have an inner and an outer. My F150 front pads are the same but in the rear I have an inner and outer pad, and we have hub assemblies up front so the whole hub and rotor is one piece, the rear has a parking/emergency brake drum attatched to it. Pretty cool.

  • I wish I had the money to do this to my mustang... Any help?

  • Great show as always but on the Pilot; Those thin metal clips that shim the pads to the bracket should be replaced. Also should clean out the area behind that. Any rust or dust will bind up the pads and result in un-even wear, premature wear, overheating, or cause the wheel to pull when the brakes are applied. These are a full floating caliper and should move freely.

    Anyway. Carry on.. Good show!

  • I have a quick question. But first, I just wanted to say "Thanks" for a great and informative video. Your productions are very professional and easy to relate to. My question is: is there a need to check for lateral run out? Also, would the new pads need to be lubricated prior to installation? Thanks again for your great videos.

  • i have a a few questions, do the aftermarket brake kit actually come with Torque ratio? and what if the pads go bad on the caliper, replace the whole caliper? looks like its all in one lol, thanks

  • I'm guessing the hood rubs on those fancy strut tower covers....

  • @08scionFM You guessed right!

  • This really helped me! I've been looking for videos that would help me change the calipers. Thanks sir!

  • This isn't any new info to me but this is definatly a very good and informative video to have. I hate to say how many people would change a brake caliper and just think they could simply add more fluid.

  • well can u bleed the brakes but just pumping the pedal with the cap of the reservoir open?!

  • I also recommend to clean and lube the caliper slides; you can buy a lube specifically for this. This is a very important step that is often overlooked. Uneven wear of the pads is mostly related to sticking pins/slides.

  • when ever you compress the piston its not good to let the fluid flow back up to the resivor because it can mess up the abs sensor with debris. always open bleeder screw .

  • @kickeraudio987 Good tip! Or put some rags around the reservoir. In all the vehicles we've done brakes on we've never had it overflow... it's such a minimal amount of fluid difference that it's hardly noticeable.

  • will bigger brakes usually work with stock rims? or will they not fit?

  • @alienboy366 They won't work with most stock wheels. This Mustang's wheels are 20" and there isn't much room so I don't think you can use anything smaller.

  • Do you plan on showing, or plan on giving tips how to install a supercharger in the future?

  • @0000UnDead0000 We just did that a few episodes ago. Check it out! "How-To Install a ProCharger Supercharger"

  • @motorztv Ahh thank you, accidentaly missed it! See this is why i watch your show, yah got everything covered, awsome work keep up the good job.

  • DOT 3 the most common?

  • @kjbrimm Yes

  • whats the idea behind larger diam rotors in the rear with the OEM pistons?

  • @mabolzichjjl Simply that it provides better stopping power. If you drive in harsher conditions or are adding performance upgrades to your ride you need to be able to stop and these will do it better.

  • @mabolzichjjl The larger the diameter of the rotor the more surface area you have so they cool faster. You don't need as much stopping power in the rear since they only do a small percentage of the braking.

  • Ok now here is a good topic. I don't know if this is a bit much for a DIY, but fixing your alignment!

  • Guys, keep in mind that drilled rotors can fracture and develop cracks in the metal. This isn't a problem for racing teams because they replace their brakes after each race. But a regular consumer doesn't, so it's much safer to go with the slotted rotors instead.

  • actually you want to start bleeding at the wheel farthest from the master cylinder then get closer and closer.

  • I've done a few of these myself...well, not so much upgrade, but I HAVE had to replace a broken brake line on my old '88 AE82 Nova.

I've been looking at upgrading the brakes on my current 1996 200SX. Interesting, though, that you went with DOT 3, rather than upgrading to DOT 5 with the brakes, since they'll produce a bit more heat, though I kind of understand that you're doing this educationally, and want people to use the stuff in the owner's manual.

  • sick rims both on the mustang and the f150

  • Big brakes wont make you stop faster given any legal speed and hard braking.. Tires will. Big money brakes are for repeated high deceleration demands. Basically to avoid fade.

  • Please show us how to install a shake hood scoop :D

  • @Scharfschutze13 We are planning to do a functional hood in the future!

  • Woah Chris in'ts touching all that brake fluid with your bare hands hazardous? At least that's what I've heard, that it makes your skin itch and that you should always wear gloves when handling brake fluid..

  • @Kirbynessness Oh not at all!! Just washes away with soap and water.

  • Keep it off your paint, rubber, upholstery, out of your eyes, and don't drink it!

  • @motorztv cause brake fluid taste like shit

  • Awesome, we've installed that DJM suspension, it's probably one of the best packages you can buy. Really nice stuff.

  • @fastlaneinc It's an awesome kit... built like a tank!

  • Comment removed

  • @moterztv when you going to work on my 2008 f150 reg cab

  • @bsl3216 That's next week's episode LOL

  • you guys really need some imports on this show, every show that deals with cars never has imports, just mustangs and corvettes

  • @integraz32lover The Honda Pilot is an import :)

  • @motorztv OHHH,i didnt watch the entire video so i didnt see the part with the Pilot,i didnt even watch the first minute cuz i already know how to fix brakes

  • @integraz32lover LOL no worries... but I hear ya, and we are working on bringing more imports on the show. Thanks for watching and please help spread the word about my show--Chris

  • @motorztv Your welcome, btw i know a friend that is in to auto repair so ill suggest you to him.

  • @motorztv btw just a suggestion but you should do a episode on regular automotive maintainence and care

  • @integraz32lover So glad you mentioned that. Upcoming episode 11 is all about fluids, and we'll have more maintenance episodes in the future!

  • @motorztv Thanks!I cant wait to see the next episode, and future car care episodes, btw when is the next episode being uploaded?

  • @integraz32lover 2-3 weeks from now, probably closer to 2.

  • @motorztv alright

  • Once a month is all we get out of you Chris? I so look forward to watching your vids on MotorzTV but they come about so slowly. Keep up the great work!

  • @BColemanEXD First, thanks for watching--I appreciate it. Second, keep in mind that when it comes to post-production I'm a one-man show. There's a lot that goes into a half hour TV show (it's not something I slap together quickly) so it takes 2-3 weeks to produce a new episode.

  • @BColemanEXD Also, this is a full half hour show in one upload/video. I could break it up into separate video segments (install segment, new products segment, letters segment, etc.) and spread them out over time but viewers have told me they like it all together in the long show format. What's your opinion?

  • @motorztv Thanks for the response Chris. I indeed prefer the long version of the shows. I also understand that you've got a full time job outside of Motorz and that you are a one-man band so to speak. What can we do, as your viewers, to promote Motorz to networks to get you a weekly spot on a major network? With so few modding shows on television these days, it would be great to add your show to that short weekly list.

  • @BColemanEXD The best thing to do is to try and track down a program director at the network and ask them specifically about Motorz. The more requests they get, the higher the chance they'll act on it. Most networks have feedback forms at their websites, but I suspect those emails will fall on deaf ears so I recommend calling. Thank you so much!

  • I am planning to upgrade my brakes on my truck this summer. this is a great help

  • Use flare nut wrenches, on hydralic lines, Great video!

  • @findtmoon You're right... that's a good tip. Thanks!
