they're NOT dead. Alex is still writing/recording and there is a new disc on the horizon...they started the project on pledgemusic . com and things are moving along. for more info go to the pledge music website.
this band is propelled by the fans and not a label. that's a good thing.
Just saw this documentary, it's awesome, and shows what scumsucking consciousness asshats the music labels are. An industry that needs to be torn down and let the true artists, the musicians, rise up from the ashes as it's their blood, sweat, and tears that should get compensated, NOT some soulless suit.
ACTUALLY...Alex is enrolled in the Writer's Workshop at the University of Iowa is teaching rhetoric classes. Yes, Steve Terry and Dave Chernis have left the band, but Alex and Ted have finished a new album which will be released after mixing and mastering. Also from The Damnwells: two new singles on their myspace page ("Bastards of Midnight" and "Down With The Ship"). So I think it's safe to say that the band is NOT dead and we can still expect great things from this amazing band!
