great video... always wanted to go... maybe next year... thanks from Canada for posting...will have to watch the big Royal Wedding this Spring... for more.... Cheers
I work in Great Smith Street next to the Abbey so get to go around often. On Ash Wednesday the congregation process around the Abbey and we pass the tomb of St. Edward the Confessor, who holds a special place in my heart. Thanks for sharing this film.
How interesting, thank you for sharing. I would love to be there one of these days on Ash Wednesday. The Abbey is one of the only places in the world that gives me such an amazing peaceful, healing feeling, I just love visiting it. I only wish the video did it justice, on how majestic it is..
I agree, but for those aren/t able to visit in person this short film gives a good feel for the place. I am actually going to today's Advent Sunday service, which sees the Abbey move from darkness to light as candles are lit. I am also attending the Classic FM carol service on the 15th, which promises to be a very special night - seated in the quire, so no view, but the atmosphere will be well worth the trip. Best wishes Daryll
I just love the Abbey, it's one of my favorite places in the world.. And honestly, you can feel the presence of "spirits" day or night. But mostly a great sence of peace fills you when you are there.. It's amazing for me. :)
Well I agree, but I wouldn't like to stay in there overnight. Burials still take place in the Abbey, notably the Northumberland vault, which is still used by the Percy family for burials.
So tell me how do you afford all this fun vacation? By the way inside is so cool but aqrent the statues on the graves a lil creepy.... I remember when I went I was touching them all =)
I am lucky to get to travel as much as I do. The abbey is not creepy to me, it's peaceful, serene, and it touches my soul and heart, unlike anything else :)
cool!! i like travel my parents take my since i was 9 months old. great from them

love westminster abbey!
Have been to London many times but each visit at least 4 hours in the westminster abbey to pray and to find the peace that only Christ can provide

There is approximately 10,000 burials in Westminster Abbey and adjoining Cloisters. I would not wish to be locked inside the Abbey late at night!
