For those of you that think a 3 inch fetus is not "a baby yet" you really should look online at "Abortion pics and videos". Just type that in your browser. If you aren't afraid it may change your mind, why not? Shouldn't everyone be informed so they know their opinion is the correct one?. I do have a 14 yr. old daughter. She would have an immediate medical exam and DNC, to clean her uterus of any sperm. Sperm can live for around 3 days or more in the uterus after sex. Most conception occurs during these 3 days, not immediately during or after sex. A DNC would have a high rate of preventing fertilization and/or the attachment of a fertilized egg to the uterine wall. This is what I would do if it where my daughter, I'm sure others have their own opinion.

What is with you people and guns. At one point we needed to have guns to defend ourselves. It was called the 1800's. If you aren't afraid it may change your mind, why not? Shouldn't everyone be informed so they know their opinion is the correct one?. If you are positive a "fetus" that fits in the palm of your hand is not a "baby", then you shouldn't have a problem seeing for yourself.

@catgrac2 That's a good point. But what happens if a 14 year old girl gets raped? and becomes pregnant with a mad man's kid. What is she supposed to do then? What about school? What about having fun on the weekends? What about that?

I do have a 14 yr. old daughter. She would have an immediate medical exam and DNC, to clean her uterus of any sperm. Sperm can live for around 3 days or more in the uterus after sex. Most conception occurs during these 3 days, not immediately during or after sex. A DNC would have a high rate of preventing fertilization and/or the attachment of a fertilized egg to the uterine wall. This is what I would do if it where my daughter, I'm sure others have their own opinion.

There shouldn't be 3 days that she "doesn't know". I suggested an immediate DNC. Scared of what? To tell someone she was raped? I think the knowledge you aborted your baby is punishment enough to carry with you. The dr. that performed the abortion, however, should serve jail time if abortion was illegal.

@catgrac2 Um, Yeah! Almost anybody would be freaked out. And how is she supposed to know if she's FOURTEEN. I know there would be symptoms but that would probably freak her out even more. Think from the perspective of a scared young girl. A girl who doesn't want to give birth until she is ready and at the appropriate age. And most girls would most likely feel terrible about the doctor they trusted to help them being put in jail. It really just doesn't make sense to me why it should be illegal.

Of course any girl would be "freaked out" - worse, actually. But, anyone that is rayped, freaked out or not, needs to TELL an adult immediately, not keep it a secret and wonder if they are pregnant! A girl wouldn't have to wonder if what I suggested was done immediately. If I were a scared, raped 14 yr. old, I wouldn't be able to get to my mother( or someone,) FAST ENOUGH so she could help me. Reminder - its illegal because it is taking a LIFE. Any more questions?

@catgrac2 Of course that's what the girl would NEED to do, but does that mean that she'd do it? The reason it doesn't make sense to me is because if the girl or woman who had an abortion would just have to live with that choice, why make it illegal? It's the girl's or woman's choice to not give birth and the doctor is just helping pursue that choice. So why have the doctor be punished?

Obviously we simply have different views of this topic. I personally don't see it as a 'choice' to decide to give life to the life within or end it. If no one were told, no DNC immediately performed, and preganancy occured, the girl and baby are both victims of a brutal crime. I would not kill the baby, just as I would not kill the girl. It's a "choice" to buy drugs, and the drug dealer helping to pursue that would be punished. It's not a choice to take a life. My view.......

What is with you people and guns. At one point we needed to have guns to defend ourselves. It was called the 1800's. Now that we have police, security system, etc. The only people that get shot anymore are your kids finding your guns under your bed and accidentally shooting them selves or someone else or committing suicide because there always that option with a gun lying around. Even if you get attacked the probability is low that you'll have time to react. Statistical data backs all of this up

so if there is a gun ban, suicide rates would drop to 0%? eat some pills or get drunk and drive really fast, depends on where you live if you need guns or not, what is so different about the 1800's and now? are you talking about defending ourselves from wild animals? or each other? if anything, people have become crazier and more unpredictable

Thats bullshit though. Yes you need to repent, but there are laws to where you are doing abortion before its actually a baby. Which then means that God can take the baby back and actually give him or her to someone that really wants them and can love them.

When is a baby technically a baby then? When it is born? What about before it is born?
Doesn't a human fetus have the necessary DNA for the construction of human life?
Then wouldn't aborting a fetus be the equivalent for murder since the unborn child had every need to become a human being?
What about couples who cannot have children? Every life aborted is another life that may have graced their presence.

And did God tell you that in a dream? If a fetus was not a child, there would be no need to abort. If you don't want your baby, there is always someone that can't have a child and is aching inside because of it. If you believe in God, surely you believe that any time he forms a life, he meant it to be born. Let someone else give them a home, you can still give them a life. It's selfish to kill a baby because its not "a good time". A guilty conscious always finds excuses somewhere.
