  • soo line is cp now right?

  • soo has been in CP over 100 years

  • Comment removed

  • oo so like is soo like just operated by cp or did cp painy units like tht like unionpacific di as lik heritage units

  • Yea, operated and owned by CP, and i believe are painting a few and retiring as well..But no heritage units

  • oo ok

  • soo was taken over by CP back in the 1990's

  • How? I read about it online and said they were together since the 1800's..

  • Soo has been owned by CP way before the 1990's....more like 100 years ago.

  • That's what i said

  • Yeah it was Q641 zian since it also the second Soo #6044 led Q641's counterpart Q640 the next morning.

  • Yeah.. Well, too bad 6044 caught me off gaurd that first day.. Grrrr... The one time i should've stayed at Homestead.. :P

  • On the CSX Pittsburgh & Keystone Subdivision's this train is Q641.

    Q641,

    East Manifest,

    Daily,

    Afternoon,

    Buffalo, NY - Cumberland, MD

  • Yeah, I hiot 341 instead 641. I was trying to say I saw hi later that day at 8pm when he came into Cumberland. I got a video of it but its just dark and rainy. I'm used to saying 341 cuz thats a freight I normally see around Martinsburg.

  • Ah, i understand

  • Great catch 5*****

  • Awesome!!

  • Very Good Video 5*

  • It definitely was not Q389. Q389 is a westbound train that comes through the area after midnight , this train was an eastbound. Considering the time of day, i am betting it was Q368 / X368 or Q641 which tends to have foreign power from time to time

  • Q389? im dumb, Q389 was the BNSF one. Pretty sure it was Q641..

  • LOL Your not dumb buddy. Its easy to be confused with the Train Symbols. I have seen them all soo many times that I can look at the train makeup and 99 times out of 100 know exactly which train it is. Once in a great while I get fooled but not often. The Auto Racks will get me from time to time as far as not knowing if its a Balimore Rack Train or a Connellsville Rack Train

  • lol, well anyways, the Autoracks and locals are the easiest for me. The GM & intermodal trains give me the hardest trouble. Q359, Q375 are the easiest for to know.

  • Thats a good catch for sure buddy. I'm wondering if that was an extra section of Q368 which would have made it an X368. Dont get those often at all but it happens if there are enough "hot" cars to make up a train. It could possibly be Q352 also but its a little early in the day for that plus it doesn't have the normal post Demmler makeup

  • No, this wasnt Q368, or Q352. I think this was Q389. But anyways, Q368 had a BNSF Gevo leader that day. That would be interesting but i'd highly doubt that much.
