morse is dying off . i got my uk b license in 98 annd morse was a must for hf / below 30 mhz .

they did away with that cos so many people turning to internet i think

Ham Radio will be a good thing to have when society collapses later this year...make sure you have a generator and or batteries....the internet and phones (cel and landline) will be deactivated by the government...Radio will be ONLY way to get a message out and to find out where the UN troops are massing....we will need HAM to coordinate our attacks in defense of our Nation!!!!! If cell phones and the internet are deactivated by the govenrment, it won't be difficult to take out hams either. Big Yagi antennas and verticals stand out. A discreetly placed dipole can be hard to spot, but easily triangulated with RDF equipment. I'm sure it will never come to that though.

if you want to learn morse code faster. say, 20wpm, use the koch method. it really helps.

Thank you very much for sharing this with us. I was starting to think that Morse code and HAM radio were becoming obsolete. However, I'm beginning to change my mind. Maybe it's even more relevant today than it was before.

Callbook Software? I saw a callbook data base CD but not the software that ran it. A CD full of calls is not really a "Callbook Software" utility. Winlog or some other software might be up for review next time?
