I almost cried when I heard MGS4 was PS3 only. I've played 1-3 but not 4 and now you get to play as Raiden. I'm looking forward to it. I do understand they have to mind the weaknesses from both consoles but that doesen't mean the game will suck.

They reattached him with a real body, he lost all of his body before - that is why he is wearing that exoskeleton suit (which gives him that high tech ninja look). So really his only got a head and a spine, i think he is missing his jaw as well.

Well according to MGS Wiki - I don't trust it heaps - Raiden lost his body due to the Patriots capturing him and then experimenting with the new suit. This will hopefully become clear [and we will find out if the MGS Wiki is telling the truth] when MGS Rising comes out (hopefully it tells that part of the story - i don't see what else they can do). Raiden then lost his arms in battles and near death experiences in MGS4 - getting crushed a lot, taking his arm off himself - that sort of stuff.

yeah i know why you think that & if it a spin off then it is probs gona be set in the time he rescues sunny but there are a few things that have bugged me to believe its set after, one the name, Rising, giving hint to a new enemy's Rising (or raiden's new exoskeleton ok), two its been hinted for a long time that raiden would take over the main character spot (subsistence snake eraser etc), the fact his eye colour and armour are different from mgs4 and that's on the 360 & ps3

I think we both have good ideas, and either one is possible. I guess we should wait and find out, because i know either way i will buy the game and play it several times (like i have with previous ones). With that said. The eye color is wrong, because I have not seen in MGS4 his eyes being blue - have you? Or are you just thinking back to MGS2? Because i watched the video of him versing those gekko's & they do a close up of him at the end - his eyes don't really look blue.

They got torn off. He cut one of them off because he was trapped and it was the only way he could get out. And he got ran over by a boat (that looked like it was twice the size of the Titanic) causing I guess the other arm to just get torn/crushed off. But don't worry he gets them both back at a hospital.
