  • the two ppl that disliked this are deaf and/or retarded

  • whoever disliked this should get a spur to the face

  • We all have a bucket list and the top of mine is to set my ass on a bull and nod my head. And this cowboy inspired that.

  • That man was THE REAL DEAL. Thanks Chris and may God grant you rank broncs and 90 point rides!

  • Great video, now watch " the Ghost Of Chris LeDoux"

  • After all this time, can't believe he is gone.

  • we miss and love u chris,RIP!

  • I am country and proud of it I just wish I could reach the heights of Chris

  • Chris wasn't mainstream country enough for Nashville. This is real "country-western" music...not that fluffy no-talent poser Taylor Swift crap. What happened to REAL country music? Today's country is garbage pop-country to make money for the corporate music labels! There is no heart or talent anymore. Chris LeDoux was the last of the real cowboys...

  • @shawnspeed3 amen!

  • rip chris we miss you brother i ride bulls because of you think you for all you did and whow you are thinks brother.

  • lol why does the beginning guitar kinda sound like barracuda?

  • GOT TO SEE HIM LIVE WAS THE BEST

  • the true cowbow!!

  • Rest in Peace MY Friend....... If I could be half the man you were I'd be doing okay......

  • I think God said........hey chris i need to learn good country can you come up here a show me how...love and miss you chris

  • Saw Chris in concert before he died. It was the best live performance I've ever seen. RIP Chris.

  • Amazing

  • Chris was one of few singers that sounded better in person than recorded,,however an amazing fact,,he Owned his own Record Label,,his own recording studio and he recorded himself...So yeah a lot of times he sounded the same live..A true World Champion Cowboy and a Super Man...R.I.P. Chris we miss you..

  • @timstime1970 I agree 100% chris and Garth as well sound alot better to me live then recorded

  • I don't know much about Chris but what I do know is he not only was a good cow boy and singer he was an awesome man GOD BLESS CHRIS LEDOUX

  • Not sure about the man's religious beliefs, I'd like to think he was a christian though to make such amazing music, if I can't hear him in Heaven it might make me cry. However, I appreciate the music, and the videos keepin' me connected to my stateside life since in Germany there's not a single country music station on the radio dial far as I can hear.

  • was chris a christian please answer some one

  • @prettypegasus100 Yes he was a True Dedicated Christian Man.. We lost him to Cancer.

  • @timstime1970 god wanted him in heaven

  • There is a REAL Cowboy singer out there. His name is Wylie & The Wild West. he doesn't compete in rodeo, but he IS a COWBOY, and he sings very well. He has a ranch in Conrad Montana. I just bought his new CD, called Raven On The Wind,

I loved Chris LeDoux, and just stop by here to listen to him once in a while.

  • Chris Ledoux is Country Music!!! One of the best male singers ever!

  • Honestly, who is the dipshit who thumbbed this down??? I mean, WTF??? Are you deaf? And blind? What the hell???

  • i miss the show that country used to give us. they are all still SO great but i wish videos and concerts were still the same

  • Sunrunner, I am sorry. My little cousin jumped on my computer. The little dipshit was almost telling the truth. It was a mechanical bull. This was back in 2001. Regardless, Mr. LeDoux was one of the great's.

  • I have not even wasted the time to look for sunpuss's comment. I saw Chris ride a fucking bull for 8.2 in west TEXAS. after his concert. The man lived what he sang. Just your regular rodeo thing. If you doubt it send a address and we will talk.

  • @shawnspeed3 thats my point i never said he was too country.i ment to say what you said they barely play real country now.

  • The greatest REAL country artist to EVER live!

  • PBR IS THE REAL DEAL AND WIL ALWAYS BE! long live chris ledoux. i love his song cowboy up. i have a pbr hat and plan on getin more stuff from pbr

  • @chevroletboy7 UM.......What does PBR have to do with Mr. Chris???

  • PBR fan for life!

  • it is HOOKED on an 8 second ride

  • His son Beau is a bareback bronc rider. I saw him ride at the National Western Stock Show yesterday.

  • best song ever

  • This is probably one of my favorite Chris LeDoux songs!! I write a lot of country songs and rodeo songs.. so if yall are looking for new music, check out my channel!! I just got it set up so new music is being added almost every day!! Thanks!!

  • Check out my band, Douglas Acres, playing this song! Nothing like Chris of course but we play this song at every show because we love his music!

  • I was lucky enough to see Chris Ledoux about 10 times in concert and actually very lucky to go back stage with him at one show. His shows never got old.

  • we got to see him with Clay Walker in AZ in his last days...and honestly, it was a great concert!!!

  • R.I.P Chris

  • Hey if you love Chris LeDoux, go to isound.com and look up Grayson Wood doing a tribute to Chris called; The Ghost of Chris LeDoux

  • chris is the greatest he will never be past by any new singer

  • Love the Video and Miss Chris LeDoux, He was in a class of his own ... I was there the night he won his buckle I was screaming so loud for him I lost my voice before the rodeo was even over ... I got the chance to see him one last time in my hometown and at a rodeo ... I am so glad I did, my biggest regret is I didn't get down in the dirt like I could have and hung out with him when he got down off the stage to play and sing.

  • the best

  • @TheBuiltfordtough87 and what station is that?

  • What happened to Mr. LeDoux was he fit no model for modern country music!!!

We know. We ran the roads and boughts his tapes and wore them out burning our lives up on the circuit..............

You can't put this man in any box except a chute!!!!!!!!

God bless the cowboys!! The last real americans!!!!

  • rip. He was one of my biggest influences in my life and the reason i decided at 20 years old that i wantedto be a rodeo cowboy. i even did it two years in college.

Not ony was a he a good singer but he was also the consiment country gentlemen.

  • The problem with Chris is that he wasn't "Country" he was all 100% pure "WESTERN" RIP Cowboy I hope your favorite horse was waiting on the other side.

  • none greater. was a clown for him once. 18 gold impressive

  • my grandparents were good friends of his ....we miss you chris

    -Rutledge Family,Meriden WY

  • RIP CHRIS

  • god bless chris i love you so glad i got to meet him in person amazing guy

  • I had the chance to interview Chris when I was in Radio. It was in the early 90's. He was the nicest, humble, down to earth guy you would want to meet. I remember him being managed by his Dad, Al Ledoux. This song brought back so many memories. Thanks for posting.

  • I am so sorry I never got to see this great cowboy live in concert...RIP Chris...you are missed!

  • MY Step Dad is the BASSIST RIP Chris PROMOTING WESTERN UNDERGROUND The new Band WONT BE The SAME but GO BY THERE CD ITS BAD ASS!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • somthin about hearin a cowboy sing cowboy songs

  • to bad hes too country to be played on the country radio. we love you chris RIP

  • @saddlebredhorsegirl You are exactly right! Too country! Chris would laugh his ass off at90% of today's artists.

  • @saddlebredhorsegirl "Too country"? He sings real western music and not country enough for Nashville. Nashville plays pop country and what I call "soft country". Stupid singers that are country wannabe stars and have no talent or writing skills. Country today is pathetic. Just look good for marketing and sing about nothing. The days of Strait, LeDoux, Alan jackso, etc are over! Country music is nothing but run by greedy corporations that know nothing about real country music...sad.

  • @shawnspeed3 amen to that.. thank god for For Chris and Western Underground.. Mr Ledoux"s son is in fine shape keeping the movement alive with "western Underground" plz check out the vids on youtube.. can search by Ned Ledoux or Western Underground"..

  • @shawnspeed3 I agree for the most part but there are some exceptions like Jamey Johnson he still plays the old honky tonk country

  • @saddlebredhorsegirl well idk where u live but where i do they play his stuff

  • @saddlebredhorsegirl amen to that i called my local station to ask to play his songs on the day he died and they said that they didnt know who he was so need less to say i stopped listening to them

  • @07M8rdr He wasn't country music, he was cowboy............. thats why they didnt know him.

  • @icu8b4me1 well then let me ask you this why was he voted #1 country music entertainer of the year for 3 yrs in a row and were do you think Garth Brooks got most of his ideas for his concerts. But i will agree with you that he was a cowboy but believe it or not cowboys do like and play country music cause im one my self. I grew up listening to him all my life and still listen to him.

  • @07M8rdr NOW THATS PITIFUL, they sure as shoot dont know what they are missing out on

  • @saddlebredhorsegirl how can he be too country?

  • @saddlebredhorsegirl I've heard him on the radio once or twice. They still play his music.

  • @saddlebredhorsegirl they play him here were im from

  • he's in the big rodeo in the sky rip chris we miss ya

  • R.I.P Chris you will never be forgotten

the best that ever lived a true all american cowboy. all you wanna be fucks can burn in hell

  • You disrespect Chris' memory by speaking that way. Chris would never stand for that.

  • everyone is a cowboy its how you act and think of others before yourself dumbass

  • that does not make u a real cowboy, im sorry but no guy or girl that may be nice but never seen a horse or cow outside of a petting zoo is a cowfolk dumbass

  • @legendscowgirl throwing on a pair of wrangler or cinch jeans and a pair of shit kickers don't make you a cowboy either

  • @Sk8BoardTrucker

did i say it did??? NO i think not, i know what a real cowgirl and cowboy are thanks very much

  • @legendscowgirl So uhh...you wanna make out?

  • NO..not everyone is a cowboy unless you're speaking urban. I live in a ranching community, and that doesn't make me a cowgirl. And i've met some range riders who don't think of others, they think of Jack Daniels and getting laid. I've met cowboys who are total gentlemen. The fact is, they work their asses off moving cattle, moving pipes, clearing fields, checking on calves at 1:00 in the a.m. Chris was a REAL cowboy.

  • @Cast3131 He was the ultimate cowboy

  • @Cast3131 Well I am country and proud of it

  • HELL YAH I LOVE CHRIS LEDOUX

  • I saw him a few times also. Many times at rodeos.

Last time was Billy Bobs Ft.Worth 2004.

I met him when I was young I was star struck. It was Kansas City in late 80's.

    The Royale

He had a loyal following with the rodeo world.

    Wearing his tapes out.

Miss ya. No other rough stock Cowboy has done or will do what LeDoux has.

    God only made one!

  • One of the best live acts I've ever seen. He could really work a crowd into a frenzy. He's greatly missed.

  • is that the riff to "magic man" by heart?

  • More like barracuda I think

  • i LOVE chris ledoux!!!!!!!!! he's my hero. but have you noticed they never sing bout bullfighters? it's always bout the cowboys. i love the cowboys dont get me wrong. but i havent heard a song bout a bullfighter. and dont let the user name decieve you. i'm a girl!!!!!

    Thank you

    Donna Petersen

  • I started listening to Chris in the late 70's when I joined the Europian rodeo assn. in Germany for the troops,a couple years ago he signed an album I purchased back then when he was in northern Wis.

  • I am sorry Sunrunner but if you you are wrong, Chris Ledoux wasn't a bull rider, he was a bareback rider and the NFR world champion in 1976, God Bless Him and long live cowboys!!!!!

  • @heartsandhorses24 And 1 of the best bareback riders of his time!

  • @heartsandhorses24 Hes the only two time Bronc rider and two time platinum country artist in music history

  • @heartsandhorses24

Im not a cowboy but Chris was iconic...one of a kind...saw him at Billy bobs in the 90z i think???

  • @heartsandhorses24 actually he rode bulls in college he saw his buddy take a bd wreck got out his knife and never got on a bull again

  • @MelissD90 He rode bareback broncs like his son, not bulls, and his career surpassed college he won too, he only stopped because he wanted to spend time with his family and he was getiing old, thats when he really picked up the music, he wrote and produced his own stuff to help pay for travel costs and the songs all had to do with real life experiences

  • @heartsandhorses24 in his early days he rode bulls as well as bareback but quit when he saw a friend get his head smashed in by a bull.

  • @heartsandhorses24 in his early days he rode bulls as well as bareback but quit when he saw a friend get his head smashed in by a bull. Thats what everyone told me lol

  • @broncstomper92 When he first cracked out as a high schooler he did all the rough stock events (Bareback Saddle Bronc and Bulls) But he began to get into Barebacks more and Bulls and Saddle broncs the rithim of riding barebacks is different and he found that he was in that rythm and was more in sync with it so he quti the others and just rode barebacks but the first thing he ever got on was a charlaios bull at a rodeo school in Texas read Gold buckle dreams

  • This man was the real deal. He wasn't a pretend cowboy like so many of today's country artists like to think they are. Chris was a cowboy through and through. Bull rider, Rancher, and Musician. The real deal!

  • yep..rascal fags! hahaaahhaha..Chris was the real deal

  • I tried to ride 3 bulls and a cowboy i am not, but chris was a real cowboy. rest in peice

  • iseen him in coffeyville ks at the interstate fair and rodeo my very first concert. such an amazing performer. high energy, ill never forget it

  • I saw him at the Dixie Sunbowl in St. George. He was amazing.

  • when was this?

  • As the show started we could tell that it was going to open with 8 second ride. By the time Chris came out he had on my son's 1/2 scale guitar, and I'll be damned if he didn't play the whole song with it. When he got done, he pulled out a big ol paint marker, signed it and walked through the crowd and gave it to my 10yo son. I know he will never forget that. The guitar is hanging on his wall today.

  • I'll never forget the last concert I took my son to. He just starting to learn to play his guitar. He wanted to see if Chris would sign it. Since he was running behind the road manager said to leave it and he would see what he could do.

  • that man knew how to put on one hell of a concert I saw him in Ft woth at Billy Bobs shortly before he died God Bless Chris Ladoux Rest in Peace

  • What tha Fuck man. Gaycowboy? Jesus. On a LeDoux song. Man I'm sick of this crap. You Suck and I don't mean that literally. Which You do that also..........

On a LeDoux song?Damn! Change your name. You cause fightin FLAMER!!

  • The best riding song ever

  • I definatlly agree with you on that one I saw him after a rodeo in Ft Worth before he died

    road a bull

  • hi all my name is paul im from up here in montana and i actually had the honor of shaking this mans hand before a show he did in billings a few years ago he was and always will be a country legend

  • There's only two actual country "hat act" singers - George Strait and this man.

I am from Sheridan, WY. Graduated 1981, at a school about 115 miles north of where Chris's ranch is. This man is a legend and he sings as if he knows he is the one link between real cowboys and real western music fans.

I played your records on my radio show on KWYO with pride, Chris. Peace be with you.

  • Kick ass man!! see ya on the other side

  • RIP Chris a cowboys cowboy... gone too soon from us///

  • This song is amazing. Cowboy poetry meets Def Leppard. It's a great one to swing dance too. We miss you Chris!!!!! You left us way too soon!

  • Sorry, that's Kuntry!!!!!

  • Billy Lee does declare this is one of the best songs in contry music history. RIP Chris Ledoux. One of the pioneers of real cowboy music. First to comment, yeah what up now?????
