@ssarryo I also love Janome machines. I just bought an HD3000 which ran me $339. It is a basic mechanical machine with good variety of stitches and a basic buttonhole and a good variety of feet. I love this machine. I am starting a small sewing business and think this machine will serve me well and when/if the time comes where I really need something more industrial, I will pay out for that, but this should ge me going, anyway.
@realwoman50 Wow, good! $339 sounds like a pretty good deal. I kind of have an alterations shop here at home and sometimes people want me to hem their pants but I don't have a blind hemmer and I feel bad I can't give them a more professional looking blind hem than my standard Kenmore machine can do with the appropriate blind hem foot. Anyway, I'll keep looking for different types of machines that I will need
in the future. And I wish you good luck with your sewing business! : )
Thank you Tim, I appreciate this video. I just bought a used machine for $10, and I'm going to try my first project since 8th grade. I'm 42. So I'm glad you are making these videos!
@Pompanio I'm 45 and I'm at your level.. loved sewing class in grade 8 and just got a machine for Christmas.. I don't know much but I do know how much I loved sewing way back when lol
He is showing his new sewing machine. What does it matter if he is or isn't gay? People on youtube really piss me off. Someone shares something with their time and some ass always has something stupid to say. Great sewing machine. Thank you for sharing.
@justafarmgirlatheart Thanks for the comment. No, it doesn't matter whether I am or am not. And no one has asked. It's interesting to see the people who just assume. If it works for them to think I'm gay, good for them. Narrow-minded people would be too confused by a straight man who sews, so it's best if I let them think about it their own simple way. Or maybe I am gay? Or maybe it's no one's business unless they're looking for love. I'm too old to worry bout high school crap, so "meh."
@cotcovers I am so delighted to see a man who enjoys to sew and isn't afraid to show it! My son is almost 13 and he has always enjoyed sewing on my sewing machine. Associating a hobby like sewing with one's sexual preference is extremely stupid. So along that line of thinking, does that mean women who don't love to sew are gay too?
To all the dummies who assume this man is gay, go take a history class. IN the beginning... men originally wore make-up, bows, tights, wigs, and high heels!
@cotcovers Hi! I'm looking for a little sewing machine to learn for I love beautiful clothes. But I'm not wealthy enough to fulfill my tastes and use a tailor's services ;) I think I'll buy a Toyota JFS. I'm straight - I really love women's bodies, their curves - and making clothes for my GF sounds rather sensual to me. But WTF where I put my d...? Your machine is great, a bit too expensive for a beginner like me. Thanks for sharing.
@GayWorldOrder I was going to delete this comment, because of the profanity, but it's obvious that you actually watched the video and responded to it. That's awesome!
I tried watching some of your videos but I wasn't quite sure what they're all about. Is it a black gay pride thing? Are you making fun of gay people? Are you doing comedy?
Either way, it's nice to see that you're making videos. Keep up the nice work.
Duly noted. We GayThugz, datz whut we awl about, promote unity inna hood, straight, gay, dont matta, brothaz got it hard out ther, need awl the promotion we can cuz tha man puttin us down too long, ya dig?
If this is the model that takes the industrial needle (no flat side at top), there is a difference in how it sews. The household needles just don't stitch as well.
I paid between 700 and 800 for this one. It's got the automatic thread cutter on it. I don't think I'd buy another machine like this if it didn't have the cutter.
Hey Tim, thanks a lot for your videos mate.Recently I develop a need for sawing and repearing my own and I am looking for a machine that will offer me the best for ma money.Wich machine you will recommend ? I am looking for a machine with industrial quality. Please advise. Thanks

@richazstuffs Janome 1600p-DBX. It's the one with thread cutter. Costs about $200 more than the non-cutter one. Still, I like the cutter; makes my job go a lot faster.
I have since bought another one of these machines. Interestingly, this same style machine is sold as a Husqvarna-Viking quilting machine and sells for twice the price.
@donnyab Is there alot of die in that fabric I wonder. Die..lol. did you see what I did there... Hope its not a dieing trade.. And dont let anyone tell you its a dead end job... Yeah I could do this all day.
I have just bought a Janome so was keen to see your film. But what is a "mortuary cover"? I understand that you guys in America have open coffins (in England it is very rare) so is it something to do with that?
There is only one reason to buy that.. Portability.. A professional should use an industrial e.g The Brother Exedra powerful, faster easy to control and takes a beating.. I think your machine is a bit of a toy trying to be a serious tool.
@Chopper894 Maybe I should have made a distinction between "professional" meaning a faster machine that has heavy-duty features and "professional," meaning a hulking unit that takes up an entire corner of a room and you usually find in industrial sewing workshops. This one is, indeed, professional grade, in my opinion. It just didn't come from a sweatshop.
I don't know where Tim got his. I did get mine off Ebay 599. I love it. Sew-Vac-Direct
This guy is a dealer for Janome. I'm indybags on Ebay. I sale a wonderful purse pattern, with directions for quilting your own fabric in the diamond design. This is the machine for quilting. You can quilt your fabric so fast. I give this machine 5 stars
lol... i so feel your pain!! :D we had berninas in school and with warmth i remember the oil stains and holes and lumps of thread in my fabric, but luckily they dragged all of the berninas to the basement
nice machine, i like to sew too and just so happens, we have the same last name...what is the name of it? can you send me an email and tell me more? tu...jrrsygirl aol
Wow, cool video! Too bad that the machine is over my price range. Lol. Thanks again.
