  • I got a headache from this

  • This is HYSTERICAL!!!

  • ive totally been there

  • does anyone notice he has charlie chaplin's style?

  • gets me every time!

  • I don't understand why they give so many chances to Hamish and Andy to create a decent comedy show yet they restrict Shaun Micallef to a game show. TV executives don't have a clue what good humour is.

  • @Phi1point62 Micallef doesn't play by TV-land rules where Hamish & Andy do. Micallef does quirky, inventive and intelligent humour. Whereas H & A do routine uni-student stuff that appeals to the 16-22 age group which are the only demographic that sponsors care about. H & A are also happy to do the other things that keep the TV-bosses happy- mention the sponsors lots, plug the network's other TV shows, interview B-celebs and not say or do anything too clever or controversial.

  • Shaun Micallef is a comedy genius, watch all his videos!!

  • @ModernDH Hey if you don't mind can you watch my new web-series on youtube, "Seagram Sales". It's heavily influenced by Workaholics, Modern Family, The Office and Always Sunny. Please check it out and let us know what you think. A new episode will be uploaded every wednesday.

  • this had me laughing like a little girl

  • ;D Very Funny. I like it.

  • was laughing hard the whole way through this

  • If you were wondering how they did it watch at 2:13 when he falls you can see that the flower pot is stuck to the table.

  • @simulclass83 no shit

  • @ethanyesplz

Thanks for the pleasant response. Glad I could help...

  • @simulclass83 also I think the teapot and milk pot are magnetized at the bottom which is why they don't fall after he holds them when everything else does

  • Lol...I remember one of my friends saying this is what she imagines living in San Francisco to be like

  • @tcousens

Very neat! Thank you for explaining. One thing I'm still curious about though. If the room was tilted at such an angle, why don't other things start sliding before he touches them? Its only after he makes contact with them that they start sliding around.

  • @adfgfds They're stuck to the tables and such somehow and he pulls them off.

  • @Peekachoo2

Yah, thats the only thing I could think of. The objects in the room must be on a hair-trigger so everything can easily be removed

  • Comment removed

  • How did they do this??

  • @adfgfds use your brain a little bit :)

  • @Steelarvore0

Trust me. I wouldn't have asked if I hadn't thought about it already lol

  • i work with his old man

  • LOL i remember this when it aired on TV in Oz!

  • I tried to tilt my monitor to see what the angle he was really climbing at

  • Comment removed

  • @DudeitsLandon The guys name is Shaun Micallef. This is the first episode of season 1 the Micallef Program screened on the Australian Broacasting Corp back in 1998. Its an Australian show and ran for three seasons quite typical for Australian TV shows of this genre.

  • @narlzp i will delete my comment now.

  • If you like this click the wine cellar one >>>>

  • too long. 30 seconds would have been perfect.

  • @kunkmonk too trolling. zero comments would have been perfect.

  • Is the room really tilted?

  • @TheNitsrekStar yes.

  • monty python no doubt about it?

    how old are you?

  • This is what it's like to live at sea, except instead it goes from tilting this much one way to the other every 15 seconds

  • That is my daily life...

  • thats monthy python i think, almost no doubt about it

  • @Pintoleite3 no, read the description

  • @mrwaha1 nope, pretty sure its monthy pyton

  • @Pintoleite3 they're austrailian, monty python are british

  • @mrwaha1 rmmm... so?

  • @Pintoleite3 a lot of doubt actually

  • This is me right now.

  • oh my god, funniest. shit. ever.

  • Classic! Micallef's a genius!

  • i don't get it.....

  • How did they do this?!!?

  • @abctemp7 It looks like they just built the set on an awkward angle and tilted the camera to match it.

  • @abctemp7 they tilted room , how old are you? LOL#

  • Cmfeol!

  • Straff for skapdrikkere. Det er ikke lett å overbevise dama om at du er edru når hu har fått huset jekket opp på ene sida.

  • 73 people have problems holding their booze

  • i need to know how this was created...Brilliant!

  • @MrPrecisethoughts the whole room was in the angel if you know, and anything that was not used they sticked so could not move, than they changed the angle of camera so it looks normal.

this video could explain better /watch?v=FM9EA4rOOvk

  • hahha!

  • How could the lady not laugh at him?!!!

  • 73 dislikes??????? But Justin Freaking Bieber gets millions of hits????? Take me now Lord, I cant stand it here!!!!

  • @mike1964180

    Stop mentioning Justin Bieber please

  • @wesroo I mentioned him once and thought I'd gotten away with it . . .!

  • What does he say at 0:47?

  • That was cool

  • Inception in real life.

  • wtf 2:34

  • @ffarkasm what?

  • i LOVE shaun micallef

  • if i was drunk i want that to happen :D that be so cool yet scary o.o BUT COOL 8D

  • XD That was great!

  • howd they do this lol

  • I have nightmares about the world being tilted like that...

  • Is the room really tilted?!?!

  • @Freezepally

Nah, they changed gravity so everything fell at a 45 degree angle.

  • @Freezepally The camera's tilted too, so you can't notice.

  • Wow, it's like Santa Cruz's Mystery Spot, expect not lame!

  • I liked the bit where he was tilted slightly.

  • Reminds me of the red skelton sketch where he comes home drunk, and his house is sideways.

  • this is exactly how i feel when i come home at 6 in the morning

  • This is f u c k i n g great!

  • This is awesome! I would have liked to see the set when they filmed this. This has got to be tough to act in.

  • comedic inception.

  • @ECDCXL

    in your dreams.

    geddit? :3

  • The other day, I showed this to my university physics teacher and said it was relevant to forces on an angle. She agreed that it was relevant and showed it to a class of 200 students just today.

  • @Highxore Cool professor.

  • how do they do it??? reply please

  • @sianyroxyajox1 I think they actually tilted the room. xD

  • happens all the time when I drink too much beer.

  • happens all the time when I drink to much beer.

  • You guys across the pond have the BEST sitcoms!

  • Who was that guy standing in a grassy field at the end?

  • @tombusbytmb its another sketch hahah :)

  • Wow!!! This really made me laugh =)

  • you can see the sugar falling from the table at 0:42. figure it out. that's how they filmed it. good one!

  • how the fuck did they film that?

  • @MasterTenku The room is tilted.. the lady never moves because she will fall or she is strapped down.. then they just tilt the camera to make the room look normal.

  • I want one of those rooms XD

  • you and your gravity problems!...

  • hehehehehehehh

  • Ahahahaha :P

  • It´s exactly how I feel when I drink.

  • That's one heavy table there.

  • lol inception

  • Fucking hilarious! :D I'm still crying :P

  • In the early 1960s, Ernie Kovacs did a sketch using this same principle of a tilted set with a camera tilted to match. He even did some of the same gags (pouring a drink, things sliding off the seemingly level table). Nearly 50 years later, the technology of the camera itself has changed a lot, but the principle of this amazingly effective set-up is identical.

  • obviously inception had something to do with this

  • he's doing this michael jackson shit :P

  • Im curious as to how she managed to stay on the lounge without falling over.

  • @pliskin100 I guessing she had some kind of harness securing her to the couch as she never gets up off it through the whole sketch.

  • Thats more like a salvia trip.

  • Alcoholism is funny!

  • Comment removed

  • trippin me out man

  • they shot this is space thqat's why the gravity is weird!!

  • One of the best sketches EVER!

  • Subtle. XD

  • How did someone not like this!? :O

  • @Rksager

Probably an SA goon. We put down everything.

  • @Rksager I don't know but I guess if you have problems with alcohol (and haven't yet admitted that to yourself) then I guess this isn't going to set your world on fire.

Plus some people are just uptight about such things being lampooned.

  • @Rksager They clicked the thumbs down button.

  • @Rksager they don`t have tilted houses

  • THIS IS HILARIOUS!! Micallef uses the tiltroom prop a lot.. lol

  • kjo osht ni dhom e ndrequn edhe gjitha senet jan me shtrafa edhe kamera e xhirmit e xhiron drjet se kjo femna nuk qohet hiq masanedej gjitha senet jan te kapuna per tavoline ato qe i ka me zor kur i len diku fluturojn qejo osht sen tjeter ska se smun bash nket mnyr me u ba kto sene kshtu

  • Nice sketch, it's a shame the cameras weren't rigged at the same angle as the room.

  • @atomicmrpelly But they were.

  • @Berniebud You're right...

  • Funny stuff. Micallef is a genius!

You should check out my youtube channel "Variety Garage". We're just starting out, but hopefully we can even approach the funnyness of this video.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHA

  • Ha ha, that was awesome. I've never thought of tilting a set!

  • lol really funny!!

  • Shaun Micallef is THE funniest man ever

  • This is on of my favorite sketches ever!

  • I wouldn't want him to pull a splinter out of my hand! x P

  • Had me weeping with laughter.

As for qualm43... methinks you've not been paying attention. Never mind, you're forgiven.

  • I do not know if this comedy came out of Britain, or even whether it went into Britain before being made in Australia by a half-Irish, half-Maltese resident of Victoria who was born in South Australia. No electrons were harmed during the making of this paragraph.

  • @camilleri63 this is, without a doubt, the most pathetic comment I've ever read

  • @camilleri63 My name is camille too :D

  • oh this is hilarious!

  • The picture tilt alone was enough to make me ROFL.

  • Comment removed

  • My house is exactly like this due to a landslide so I found this paticulary funny. I like a good bit of realism in my comedy and something I can relate to.

  • I couldn't breath!!!

    I was laughing too hard!

  • Poor actor.. must be very tiring to climb up again and again

  • "That's the hospital; I'm wanted in surgery..."

  • Oh my God I've never laughed so hard!!!! This is fantastic!

  • Oh my goodness! That was fantastic! =D

  • why would photoshop be needed for this sketch? it seems easy enough to tilt a room and the camera

  • Huh?

  • photoshopping frame by frame, right?

photoshop is for pictures, and photoshop cannot be used on this unless you have a 8 extremely trained experts that can waste 2 months of nonstop work

  • what?? are you serious.wtf its pretty obvious whats going on

  • well somebody stated that photoshop was involved

kudos on the shitty commentary sistem, youtube, you fucked up again

  • Yay! the tilted room! thanks for postng mate! :D

  • lmao

  • Funny stuff!! I think that I have done that a few times!

  • Oh my goodness. I haven't laughed at one video that much in a long time.

Imagine if they did this skit on Thank God You're Here with Shaun as the guest...

  • Brilliant! Micallef is still the smartest & funniest comedian in Australia.

  • Indeed! I can watch anything he does... even that crap show talking about your generation.

  • Tilted room stuff is hysterical. If you ever saw the video for Jamiroquai's "Virtual Insanity", you get to see something akin to it (it got Video Of The Year from MTV that year). Stuff that stays still is either nailed or bolted down, or uses magnets (like with tea cup and pitcher).

  • lol!

  • Damn funny!

  • HOW DID THEY DO THAT O_O

  • THEY CHANGED THE GRAVITY O_o!!!

Well no exacly, the room is tilted, it is said in the title.

  • Micallef is a legend

  • i wanna see Milo in this room!

  • That's really clever. Why can't anyone here in the States come up with something like that?

I'd hate to be the wife in this situation. I'd probably blow my top. XD

  • What is that womans name?

  • roz hammond

  • Brilliant LOL !

  • In Japan, that is traditionai conte style!

  • haha

  • Classic. Classic. Classic.

  • Excellent - this is too funny!!

  • what a clever and awesome sketch from the micallef programme

  • best sketch ever!

  • bahahahaha

  • You tools, that was from the micallef programme

  • LMFAOooo same here i must of watched a dozen times lol Hes Great Bring Back Full Frontal!
